1930's Chinese Mahjong Mah Jong Jongg Game Set with Lacquer Wood Carved Box

The box is 7.5 inches (19 cm) tall by 7.8 inches (19.8 cm) long and 7.87 inches (20 cm) wide. Each tile is 0.43 inch thick (1.1 cm) by 1.1 inches (2.8 cm) in length and 0.78 inch (1.95 cm) wide. It is 7.1 Lb.

The box has chips, peeling lacquer, rubbing off paint, surface wears and scratches and can't close tightly...

Republic or a little later, black and red lacquered “Dou” offering stem bowl (usually fruit) for an ancestral altar table, with gilt garden and scholar’s theme. This from Guangdong and made for a Chaozhou family, aka Teo Chew, aka Chiu Chow. W: 21cm/8.2in and H: 13cm/5.1 in. There is some warpage, noted in enlargements but if just turn it the right way you won’t notice.

A beautiful Lantern,French, gilt bronze with a leaf design pattern measuring 24” x 12” (top width).

A carved wooden bowl wrapped in floral motifs dating from the early 20th century signed beneath by the carver. The dimensional imagery depicts lotus leaves, lotus root and clusters of Biwa (loquat) fruit. It is 21 x 20 x 5 cm (roughly 8 inches diameter, 2 inches tall) and in overall excellent condition.
