A pair of perfectly potted porcelain bowls, decorated in iron - red, with plump feathery tailed godfish swimming amongst wafes in sgraffiato technique. Underglaze Daoguang Marks ( 1821 - 1850 ).Diameter : 10,6 cm. H : 5,8 cm. Condition : Perfect. Provenance : Old Suisse collection.

Circa 1830. Set of 6 English cut crystal wine glasses. All six are in excellent condition. (There is a 7th glass that goes with the set that you can have. It has 3 fairly minor abrasions on the foot rim and we can send a photo). Each wine glass measures:

Exquisitely hand painted Sevres porcelain card/candy dish. Romantic scene showing couple playing the flute (signed). Base and handles are made in bronze, cobalt blue border with golden decorations. Back side shows two seals. We believe that this dish was crafted for The Castle of The Tulleries, Paris.

An exceedingly rare ancient Japanese Heian (794-1185) or Nara Period (710-794) Engraved Bronze Tortoise. The entire shell, front and back, has engraved artistic images of the people and symbols of the era. The tortoise is a symbol of wisdom, and is able to defend itself on its own. It personifies Water, Moon, Mother Earth, Time, Immortality, and Fertility. Creation is associated with the tortoise and it is also believed that the tortoise bears the burden of the whole world...

Chinese Antique Crane and Peaches Scroll, colorfully and vibrantly painted with dancing red-crested crane next to stream and ripe peach-laden tree, pigment beautifully applied, late 19th century, two seals and signed artist name Zhao Ahi Qian (1829-1884), picture size: 54.5"H 27.75"W, overall size: 86.5"H 36.25"W, some wear in center of painting.

A Webster sterling silver swing handle candy basket circa 1910. This fine and decorative Edwardian serving piece features a pierced edge and a rayed repousse interior as well as a hinged swing handle. It weighs 83.1 grams, it measures 7 x 5-3/8", it has a fancy JGF monogram on the bottom of the bowl and it is stamped with the Webster mark and STERLING. It is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs...

Japanese dated Edo period rectangular form wood "senryo-bako" hinged coin box on two geta feet with cast iron hardware including edge brackets, hinges, handle, and front lockplate. A barely readable black ink inscription on the bottom dates the box to the first year of the Bunkiu era (1861). Excluding protruding hardware, the wood measures about 15 1/4" long x 5 7/8"deep x 5 1/2" high. Good, solid overall condition with typical wear from age and use...

An antique Japanese merchant desk (Choba Tsukue) made of Keyaki (Zelkova) and Hinoki (Cypress). Beautiful natural burl grain to the drawer fronts. Hand forged iron Hikute handles with 3 drawers to either side balanced by a center drawer.

Merchant desks were an invaluable piece of furniture for any Japanese store. The desk delineated the merchant from the customer allowing him to write business records and receipts...

Middle compartment includes staggering shelves and two small drawers. This piece is originally from Shizuoka, Japan. Age: Taisho Period (1912 - 1925). Size: 28.5"H x 30.5"L x 13.5"D.
