A beautiful framed map of New York State circa 1855 measuring 14x16”

A very attractive large Oak figure of a Catholic Benedictine monk, European, probably Germany or Holland, c. later 16th. century.

The figure depicts a younger monk with the typical dress and tonsure hair. He is standing on a octagonal plint. Remnants of the original colours especially to the head.

Height: c. 48 cm. and quite massive and heavy.

Condition: Nice Ver fine for the size and high age, loss to hands, and age cracks and very sound wood.

This porcelain platter was produced in Germany by the Helena Wolfsohn Dresden studio in the 1880s. It is unusual to find an under glaze mark indicating this to be an earlier piece. It measures 14 1/2” long, 11” wide and 1 1/4” deep. The border is deep, cobalt blue. The center has a scene of people boarding sailing vessels. The coloring suggests that it evening. This porcelain ewer was produced in Germany by Rudolstadt Pottery and Lewis Straus & Sons was the New York distributor. The ewer was produced around 1900. It is 9 1/2 inches tall with a diameter of 3 inches. The porcelain is fine quality with molded details in high relief. There is a medallion in the center of the ewer with a portrait of a young woman. It is framed in elaborate art nouveau style gilding. The gilding is raised and accented with colored enamel beads or jewels...

Elegant 19th C. chocolate or demitasse coffee pot by Shreve & Co. Measures 10 5/8" tall and 7 3/4" wide (including spout and handle). There are two ivory insets in the beautiful elongated handle. One side has an engraved stag's head. Marks on base include an "S" on each side of a bell, "Shreve & Co., Sterling, San Francisco". On close inspection, I noticed a small dent on the underside of the spout (near top). Otherwise, excellent condition, inside and out. Circa 1890.

This exquisite antique bronze relief plaque is a remarkable art from the late 19th century. It was created by Étienne Alexandre Stella, a French sculptor well-known for his exceptional bronze figure sculptures and relief plaques. The plaque depicts actors from the "La commedia dell'arte" performing on the streets of Paris, and the lower left corner bears Stella's signature "STELLA."

A fine and rare French gilded Cherub/Cupid candle holder beautifully cast in the manner of artist "Francois Boucher" on a massive footed polished stone and bronze base. Good condition. Size: Height 12" (30.5 cm.). Late 19th Century.

Offered is this beautiful, iridescent glass vase, made by Loetz around 1902 - the vase is in their 'Medici' (Phanomen Genre 2/484) decor. Beautiful colors - the base-glass is in their 'Bronce' (bronze) coloration. The vase has four dimples just below the top-rim. It is 4 1/2 inches (11,5 cm) tall and 3 1/8 inches (8 cm) wide at the shoulders. These two cups are not a matched pair and were made during the late 1800’s. The one cup has more gold in the decoration, seen when looking on the inside.
