Historical dark Blue Staffordshire Teapot, circa 1830, of Lafayette at Franklin's Tomb. Made in honor of Lafayette's 1824 visit to the United States, this teapot was produced by Enoch Wood & Sons (1818 - 1846) of Staffordshire. In excellent antique condition, there is only one fairly small chip on the inside of the teapot, no hairlines, no repairs. The teapot is 11 inches wide from spout to handle by 7 .5" tall.

This neo-classically inspired porcelain pitcher is magnificent in its grace and, dare I say, grandeur. It expands as it rises from its gilded circular foot then recedes to give rise to a towering helmet style beaker. The base of the handle is anchored in a shield from which it serpentinely shoots up and then down to attach to the rim. The gilding is sumptuous especially around the hand painted scene of a riparian idyll with 2 people in discourse...

A pair of English sterling William IV sugar tongs, fully hallmarked for London 1834. These 5-3/4" tongs were made by Wm. Ely, they weigh 50.8 grams,and they are in excellent original condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. Three plates with a blind molded basket weave border and swirled ribs the way Coalport molded plates in the early part of the 19th century. The hand painted flowers in a central bouquet and four single flowers on the lip are very much in the early Coalport style. The plates are 9 ¼ inches (23.5 cm) in diameter.

Conditon: no chips cracks, hairlines or repairs for two and the third with a spider in the center...

A simple 7" pre-Victorian English pewter sauce ladle by John Yates, Birmingham. Yates (1788-1881) produced spoons and ladles from c1808 to c1840, and this example has his early IO HN YHA TES stamp. It is in the fiddle pattern and it is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, monograms, losses, damage or repairs other than a small bubbled area of corrosion on the handle...

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England by Spode around 1800. The saucer is 5 5/8 inches in diameter and it is 1 1/2 inches deep. The cup is 2 1/4 inches high. The cup has the London shape. The ground color is a soft pink. There are reserves inside the cup and around the saucer containing colorfully hand painted birds. They are reminiscent of bird decorations done by the Derby factory. They are encased in gilded cartouches...

An English Staffordshire bowl and a bread or cake plate, part of an early 19th century tea set. Decoration in blue, beige and gilt of flower garlands and ribbons. Diameter of bowl "6 ¼ /16 cm, of plate "8 ½/ 22 cm, height of bowl "3 ¼/ 8 cm. Condition: some exterior glaze cracks to the lower part of bowl.

A handsome pair of sterling silver sugar tongs from the reign of King William IV. The sides are decorated in a classical late Georgian shell and thread motif. The quality is very fine. The interior have pristine hallmarks for London, 1834-35, and the maker’s mark for William Eaton.

Origin: England, 1834-35. Condition: nearly mint, no monogram, sharp detail. Size: 6-1/8” long. Weight: 69.5 grams.

Two Georgian bucket bowl port or small wine glasses with panel-cut cups and stems, English, c 1800. One a little heavier than the other and with the pontil mark deep into the glass and partly visible, whereas to the other glass the pontil mark is polished flat. Height "4/ 10 cm. Condition: fine.

A fine pair of sterling silver sugar tongs in the classic “Kings” pattern. The design is very nicely worked and the tongs are generously sized. The inside of the tongs are fully hallmarked for London, 1837. They also bear the William IV duty mark. This mark, used in conjunction with the 1837 date mark, was used for only 22 days before being changed to the Victoria duty mark. The maker’s mark is that of either William Barber or William Barrett II.

This porcelain cup and saucer was produced in Germany by the Royal Berlin Manufactory KPM around 1835. The cup is 3 3/4 inches tall with a diameter of 3 ½ inches. The saucer has a diameter of 6 inches. It is inscribed “Andenhen an den 8ten Funi 1835” on the front of the cup, translated as Commemoration of the 8th of June 1835.
