Lovely pair of Italian Porcelain Capo di Monte amphoras. The exquisite scenaries are painted by hand.The seal is located at the bottom of each amphora. The Capo di Monte was established in the mid 1700's by King Charles of Naples, this explaining the "N" seal above the crown.
Measures: approx. 10.5"(26.5cm) height, diameter from the top: 5.75" (14.5 cm), base: 4.5" length X 4.5" (approx. 11.5 cm) width X 2.5" (6.5 cm) height.

Handmade of colonial silver, this "mate" cup is of Uruguayan origin from the 1850-1870 period.
"Mate" is a special cup for drinking "yerba mate" a popular tea brewed from the leaves of a native holly (Ilex Paraguariensis). The perforated silver straw used for drinking the "mate" contains leaves carving.

This porcelain chocolate cup and saucer was produced in Germany by the Ambrosius Lamm Dresden Studio in the 1880s. The saucer is 5 3/8 inches in diameter. The cup is 3 1/4 inches tall without the handle. The cup features an empire style handle that sweeps up over the rim. The ground color is magenta red.
