English large Porcelain deep Soup Plate, wide Wine Burgundy color rim with raised gold decoration with enamel white dots decorated, Ca. 1900, 10" wide, 1 1/2" high, high quality and beautifully decorated in raised Gold design on wide flat rim. Marked faded blue and impressed mark and "England" on the bottom, and number "2869H" in red. The condition is good, shows some wears on gold and wine color rim.

Set of 4 English footed open salts in their original case. All in excellent condition and fully hallmarked with original box. Box interior inscription reads: Campbell & Lumby, Diamond Merchants, Goldsmiths & Silversmiths, Old Post Office Place, Church Street, Liverpool and measures 7.5" x 9". Offered is this pair of hand-painted, elephant-handled, ormolu-mounted vases (the vases have been drilled at their bottoms, and as such, could be used for either displaying dry flowers or as lamp bases), made around 1890. Each one is 15 3/4 inches (40 cm) tall and 9 3/4 inches (25 cm) wide. They are in excellent condition, without chips, cracks or repairs (there is age-appropriate tarnishing of the metal and fading of the paint)...

A handsome pair of sterling silver sugar tongs from the reign of King William IV. The sides are decorated in a classical late Georgian shell and thread motif. The quality is very fine. The interior have pristine hallmarks for London, 1834-35, and the maker’s mark for William Eaton.

Meissen porcelain cup and saucer with ornamental gold trimming and line work. The saucer is 5 inches in diameter and the cup is 3 inches in diameter and 3 inches in height.

Pretty Edwardian inkwell. Made by Foster & Bailey in Providence, ca 1910. Rectangular clear glass base with chamfered corners, wraparound acid-etched garland, and star cut to underside. Ovalish well with short neck in sterling silver collar with hinged and domed cover. Cover top has enameled flower basket and garland on white wavy and chevron ground with ornamental blue lunettes. Fully marked. Very good condition with strong color.

A pair of large Chinese made and decorated porcelain serving plates for the Western market circa 1790. Good flowers painted in a complex design covering most of the surface. The square edge appears to be gilded with something more like bronzing powder than fire gilding. 11 1/8 inches (28.5 cm) diameter.

Condition: one with minor rim chips, minor stacking wear and some black firing spots. The other with a fairly significant rim chip and associated hairline.

Very heavy sterling silver soup ladle in Gorham's elegant 1901 "Florentine" pattern. The handle is decorated with a satyr mask surrounded by vines, dolphins, clusters of fruit, acanthus leaves and various other classical decorative elements. The design spills from the handle onto the back rim of the bowl. The back of the handle has complementary decoration. Hallmarked by Gorham and with the patent date, indicating an earlier date of manufacture.

Stylish Victorian sterling silver tray. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York. Round and plain well. Wide rim with low-relief border in form of imbricated leaves or chevrons. A popular motif that is sometimes known as Wave Edge. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, pattern no. 5766, and director’s letter C (1902-07). Very good condition.

A large and rare antique, circa 1850, French casein tortoise shell casket with bronze ormolu framework featuring a working lock with key. The casein was applied over mahogany or rosewood creating a sturdy chest. Inside is the original silk lining perfectly intact. This chest is superbly crafted and very well preserved, there is just a little wear on the top and wear to the gold gilt on the bronze ormolu consistent with its age...

The face on the spout is tinted with the same yellow/brown as the face on the pitcher. 10 ¼ inches high, 8 ½ inches across handle and 7 inches wide.

Isaac Van Amburgh was an American showman/animal trainer. He had his own travelling menagerie by the mid 1830s. Around 1830 he became the first (perhaps) performer to place his head in a lion’s mouth. His grandfather was Native American. Van Amburgh toured extensively, including in England...

Early red glass silver overlay perfume. Made by Gorham in Providence, ca 1886. Globular with short neck and flat everted rim. Ball stopper. Dense and engraved overlay with scrolls and flowers. A concentrated design with small reveals of the glass. Scrolled cartouche engraved with scrolled monogram. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, patent year 1886, and no. S684. Very good condition.

A small, possibly unique, hand painted pitch pine Arts and Crafts style plaque ...

This tea kettle / tea pot was made by the Southington Silver Company Ca 1900. It is quadruplated by Gerssmt.

The stand and kettle have the #2104 marked on the bottom.

The swing handle has the initial FWC engraved.

My picture #4 shows the only place where where I see any wear.

The pin for the hinge on the wick cover needs to be replaced.

It is in spectacular shape for its age.
