A fine American tinsel or foil painting depicting a wreath of flowers, with a bird, around a grouping of fruit and foliage. The wreath is on a variation of the relatively rare "snowflake" type of background. This technique appears to have been done primarily in the 1870's period. The frame and wooden backboard are original.

A beautiful sterling silver berry or casserole spoon in Whiting's desirable 1896 "Dresden" pattern. The handle is decorated on both sides with sprays of roses. The matte gilt bowl is scalloped and decorated with repousse beading and volutes. The spoon is stamped with Whiting's hallmark and has the patent date indicating an early date of manufacture.

Origin: America, ca. 1900. Condition: excellent, original gilding intact, sharp detail, no monogram. Size: 8-3/4" long. Weight: 87.0 grams.

The octagonal barrel is stamped with the Liege prove mark. The lock and the iron fittings are beautifully engraved. The pistol is 14 inches long. In very good condition. We are shipping internationally; no fire arms permit is required.

These two porcelain plates were produced in Germany by Royal Berlin KPM Manufactory c. 1870. They measure 9 inches in diameter. The borders have an intricate reticulated rim. There are ribs molded in the porcelain toward the middle of the plate. It is completely hand painted in a pattern reminiscent of Meissen’s Blue Onion. Condition: Excellent, first quality.

Constructed of hand hammered brass, and fastened together with metal pegs, this vase is hexagon in shape, with wide lip and base. It measures 8" high, 5 7/8" across at widest point, and the base is 4 1/8" across. Signed on the base with a conjoined W W mark, with another line that could be an F. The seal cast with an heroic bust of a greek god of war, probably Ares or Athena in the classical style. A monogram of two capital letters finely engraved in the seals base.

This pair of porcelain plates was produced in England by Coalport in the 1890s. They measure 9 ¼ inches in diameter. The porcelain is molded with an ornate ruffled border. The center of each plate has a miniature landscape painting surrounded by a gilded cartouche. The border has scallops, frills, flowers and even a suggestion of coral. They are made of fine, white, hard paste porcelain that is pierced or reticulated. The rims have molded pearl beading. There are beautifully hand painted floral sprays in the center of the bowl and in medallions on the sides. All of the reticulated designs are outlined in gold, inside and out...

This porcelain bowl was produced in France by Theodore Haviland Limoges around 1900. There is an artist’s signature in the decoration. The bowl has a diameter of 9 inches and is 1 1/2 inches deep. It is expertly hand painted with large colorful roses and foliage. There is a wide band of heavy gilding around the scalloped rim. This is a rare find produced and hand painted from the factory. Offered is this signed Quezal 'Pulled-feather' shade. The shade is 4 1/2 inches tall, 4 inches wide (at the flared end) and has the standard fitter diameter of 2 1/4 inches. It is in good condition (couple of circular marks where the shade rubbed against the holder - see last picture).
