This porcelain plate was produced in the U.S.A. by Lenox between 1894 and 1906. The plate has a diameter of 9 inches. It was commissioned for the retailer Bailey, Banks & Biddle of Philadelphia. The plate is artist signed W.H. Mosley who was a prominent painter at Lenox. The plate has a soft cream colored ground. The center is hand painted in subtle colors in a rather “Impressionistic” manner. The birds are identified as “Rail”, a game bird living in marsh lands...

A pair of beautiful, hand-painted glass vases made by Bohemian master, Moser. The amber-colored, ribbed glass vases have blue-colored applied scroll-feet and lava-drippings from the top rims. Each vase is 12 1/4 inches (31 cm) tall and 5 1/2 inches (14 cm) wide. Except for a couple of chips on the blue-glass applications of one vase (see last two pictures), which are typical of these old applied-glass vases, the vases are in decent condition. Polished pontils (slight 'pull' on one vase's pontil)...

A lovely Victorian sterling silver sugar sifter in Whiting’s 1882 “Antique Lily Engraved” pattern. The simply-shaped handle is decorated with bright-cut engraving of foliage with a spray of lilies-of-the-valley cascading across the end. The bowl is matte gilt and pierced in a pleasant design that does not compete with the restrained decoration of the handle. Sugar sifters were used to sprinkle sugar over fruit during the dessert service, and are not terribly common...

A vintage child's pair of kid leather and suede shoes with wooden buttons c1900. These high-side shoes are still soft and supple with only surface creases on the (slightly soiled) leather. The buttons are painted, and the suede soles have a branded 0 on the bottom. They are stamped 0 D660 on the interior, they are 4-3/8" long and 3" high, and they are in excellent condition with no losses, damage or repairs...

At 65 inches, this is an Niello chain with alternating gold and silver loops in its original length and is a classic loop-in-loop design dating from ancient times, in which the individual loops are soldered before assembly...

A black cloth doll with lots of assets. This doll has a very nice embroidered face, the clothes are fabulous, (including pantaloons, petticoat, skirt blouse,apron, lace shawl), her hair is deerskin hide, her socks are hand made with a different color yarn on the sole to make it look like a shoes and she is 20" tall. She is firmly stuffed with cotton. She sits but resists a little so she would sit on an upholstered chair but would tend to slip on a wooden surface...

A beautiful and rare, small PUCE CAMAIEU & GOLD Porcelain Teapot with Floral Bouquets, ca. 1780, Thueringen, Germany (Gotthelf Greiner). The top is adorned with a stylized Rose for holding. Height: 10.5 cm Underglaze Crossed Swords Marking. Good overall condition.

This elegant brush has repousse decorations depicting Art Nouveau lilies on the top, and fancy swirls on the handle. It measures 5-3/4” x 3". It is stamped Sterling, and there are other, illegible, marks. There is a little bit of damage to the silver at the top of the brush, which is exaggerated by the photos. The handle has an undecorated area on each side, ready to be monogrammed, should you want one. On one side this area has some small dings to it...

Victorian silver and three color gold locket with a raised floral and foliate design. Wonderful to wear on a chain, either short or long as shown here. The locket measures 1 3/4" high by 1 3/8" wide.

Cloisonné enamel charger or large dish with flowers and a flying bird against a mustard yellow ground, the back with a swirl pattern. Late Meiji or early Taisho, c 1900. Diameter "12/ 30.3 cm, height "1 ½ / 3.7 cm. Condition: a damage to the backside enameling (c f last photo). Interestingly, it shows the kind of marker used to indicate the design where the cloisonné metal straps were to be soldered onto the base. Four 19th century faience plates, probably from the Les Islettes factory near Reims in Northern France. Three with lobed and one with straight border. All decorated with sprigs of flowers in the "gaudy" style, one with a flower basket. Diameter "8 ¾ - 9 / 22 - 23 cm Condition: rim frits and wear to one plate, the flower basket plate with a charming attempt made in the factory to conceal a glaze mist at the border (cf pics).

A 19thC English hand painted china cann or child's mug. This unmarked English china handpainted 2-5/8" tall cann (some of these canns are inscribed and given as a baby's or child's mug) features beautifully painted floral bouquets on the front and a smaller version on the back; it has green trim along the rim. This item is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, losses, damage or repairs. All condition issues are noted...

From our European Porcelain Collection, a fine French Niderviller neoclassical-style porcelain saucer, heavily potted, late 18th century circa 1774-1784. This saucer is executed en grisaille in very fine detail of a sleeping cupid, rendered against a very dark cobalt blue ground that almost appears black. The border is richly gilded, and the reverse contains markings that stand for Count Philibert de Custine, who owned the Niderviller factory during this time period.
