An interesting 18th century pewter plate, the border with an engraved motto, Suum cuique, written on a ribbon above an open book resting on a diagonally striped bar. As presented on this plate this is the crest and motto for the Scottish Clan Don. It is a Latin phrase meaning “to everybody his/her own”, historically used in freemasonry and in legal contexts, like serving as motto for the faculty of law at universities...

Very attractive Victorian lacquered papier-mache soap box decorated with a japonaise design. The sides show laborers pulling a boat filled with partiers along a canal. The lid shows a kneeling maiden tending her flower garden in a classic Japanese garden. The lid is also decorated with the soap maker's logo. Japanese styled items were very popular in France from around 1870 until the end of the century.

Rare complete single bag (small saddlebag or large chanteh) from the Luri-Bakhtiyari tribes of West Persia, last quarter of the 19th Century. This rare weaving measures 19.5" by 17" and is in nearly mint condition, with full pile and complete piled closure system, tassels and original side finishes. All dyes are natural, including a great purple and apricot. Nice flatweave back with patterning in weft wrap technique typical of Luri/Bakhtiyari work.

Outstanding sterling silver ice cream slice with the fabulous Art Nouveau "Poppy" pattern by Baker Manchester. Both the front and back are beautifully detailed. The blade is lightly matte gilt. During the Victorian era, ice cream was served in a loaf shape, and implements like this were used to slice off pieces for serving. The form often did "double duty" as a fish server. Victorian Georgian Queen sterling silver soup ladle. Made by John and Henry Lias in London in 1839. King-shaped handle has engraved armorial with sword-bearing lion rampant and motto “Courage”. Deep ovoid bowl. A substantial and traditional piece made shortly after young Victoria ascended the throne. Stylistic continuity in the new reign. Fully marked. Very good condition.

A Moser cranberry perfume or cologne bottle that is nicely enameled with some wear to the gold scrolls in the reserves. The stopper and the bottle both bear a small gold “5" indicating that these have always been together.

A very early pair of child's shoes hand sewn and pegged and nailed. The shoes are fragile but one is much better than the other. They are early enough that the soles are identical with no difference in right and left shoe. They are 6" long and 3 1/2" tall. circa 1830. These early shoes are hard to find and look wonderful with a textile collection.

A porcelain ovoid form teapot with a floral knop and hand painted with floral sprays on either side and floral sprigs on above and below the handle, picked out with magenta, and on the spout as well as above and below. The crossed hayforks with a line through them was the factory mark for the late 198th century. Height 5 1/8 inches (13 cm), length across spout and handle 7 ¼ inches (18.4 cm) and width 4 ½ inches (11.4 cm)...

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in England by Mintons in the 1890s. The saucer has a diameter of 4 1/2 inches. The cup is 2 1/4 inches high with a diameter of 2 1/4 inches. The fine, white porcelain is slightly molded with ribs and the handle is an ornate split branch shape. It is decorated with elegant raised and beaded gilding in Art Nouveau style. Bands of embossed gold trim the rims. Condition: Excellent, without defects of any kind.

A beautiful and elegant double series opaque twist (DSOT) cordial glass with a honeycomb molded round funnel bowl. The stem has a 12 ply spiral band around a central lace twist. 6 11/16" tall, with a bowl diameter of 1 7/8" and a foot diameter of 2 9/16". Rough snapped pontil, superb condition.

A Substantial and Elegant Coin Silver Pitcher (Milk Jug, Creamer) by Newell Harding of Boston, Mass., circa 1840, Dimensions; 8.5: high x 5" at mid-section diameter; weight, a substantial 11.8 Troy ounces. Monogram. Excellent condition.

A 12 ¼ inch (31 cm) diameter blue and white delft charger made at Lambeth, London toward the end of the 18th century. The “Chinese garden” is well executed as is the border on the lip. A plate with the same decoration is at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

Condition: chips around the edge and a few places on the lip where the glaze has flaked off.

A rare combination of shape (7430), color (dark blue jade), and style (jade) makes this vase an ideal candidate for an advanced collector looking for something uncommon. A gorgeous boxed set of 12 sterling silver demitasse spoons in the “Wild Rose” variation of the “Vine” pattern. The spoons have gilt bowls in the elongated shape often seen in Tiffany demitasse spoons. The bowls enhanced with soft matte gilding. Each is stamped with the Tiffany mark used 1873-1891. The spoons are presented in their original fitted box lined in “Tiffany blue” silk and embossed with the company’s logo...

Gorgeous Qing Dynasty Chinese export porcelain vase with Rose Medallion enameled decoration. The body has a beautiful white color and intricate painted decoration of peonies, quince fruit, waterlilies, butterflies and birds. The foot, rim and shoulder are decorated with enameled flowers against a gilt background...

Circa 1850, this lovely sterling silver serving spoon has a gilded and perforated bowl, and a long handle with a three dimensional calla lily detail at the end. The leaves stretch across the top of the bowl also. It was most likely made by Whiting. The bowl measures approximately 3" in diameter and the handle is 7" long. It is in very good condition, with most of the gilding still in tact. It is marked "STERL" on the back.
