Yellow Shell, part tea service: a slop bowl and a dish, three cups and two saucers. This very popular folk art or naïve style pattern was produced in more than one Staffordshire kiln in the early 19th century, among them Ridgway & Sons and Machin. A small New England Peachblow rose bowl with applied white vertical stripes. The 2 7/8 by 2 7/8 inch bowl has a crimped and scalloped rim and a broken pontil mark. The bowl is similar to those made for the 1893 World's Fair

Beautifully made Amphora pitcher with unusual organic overtones. This great piece is handpainted with gold thistle and glue and gray and lighe purple overtones. It is in perfect condition and measures ll" tall x 7" wide

A very good jasper ground glass paperweight by St. Louis. The sole decoration is the pink and white jasper cushion which completely fills the dome. The glass is heavy and nicely clear. The polished concave bottom has relatively wide basal ring.

Origin: France, ca. 1850. Condition: excellent, a surface nick on one side about 1/2" above the base and a tiny fleabite about two-thirds up the side of the crown. Size: 2-3/4" diameter; 1-3/4" high.

A fine pan-topped square bucket bowl glass engraved with a fruiting vine having polished grapes, raised on a stem containing a multi-spiral air twist. Conical foot with polished pontil. Condition is excellent with no flaws. The apparent cloudiness in the bowl in the first photo is not present in real life. The height of the glass is 5 5/8", with a bowl diameter of 2 1/2" and a foot diameter of 2 3/4".

There are no chips, no cracks, no hairlines and no repairs to this item. This item is in excellent condition.

This is a very interesting piece created by an early artist very skilled in needlework: an oval shaped map of England and Wales and small parts of Ireland, Scotland and France, the oval measuring approximately 19 1/2" by 17" (about 27" by 22 1/2" in the vintage gold frame). Judging from the seated figure of Britannia and the lettering and overall handling, I'd estimate this to date to the late 18th or early 19th century...

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Nymphenburg in the 1890s. The saucer has a diameter of 3 3/4 inches and the cup is 2 inches high. The set is designed in the art nouveau style. The decorations are hand painted. There are bands of brightly colored flowers encircling both pieces. They are so tiny and intricately painted. The rims of the cup and saucer are hand painted. This delicate little demitasse is a treasure. Condition: Excellent

A finely detailed cast bronze jewel box, the cover decorated with a scene of Don Quixote astride his horse followed by his loyal Sancho Panza on his donkey. The end panels feature bas relief images of Cervantes flanked by cherubs, and the back panel a bas relief of Don Quixote wearing an armored helmet. Cherubs and dolphins decorate the front. The interior is lined in a bright red velvet. The box retains its original key and the lock is in working order...

Wonderful German hand painted charger, Early 20th century, 7 inches in diameter. Great condition and the charger bears the maker's mark.

This set of 12 bird plates was produced in England by the Cauldon factory in the 1890s. The plates measure 8 3/4 inches in diameter. They are made of fine, white bone china. The edges of the plates are fluted and the porcelain has a molded swirl design that is accented with gilding. The centers of the plates are expertly hand painted by the renowned artist, James Birbeck, who specialized in painting game birds...

Large Art Deco vase made by CAB (Ceramique d'Art de Bordeaux) for Ovington, New York, circa 1920. This vase measures approximately 8 1/2" (height) by 6 1/2" (across). Incised "Made in France" and "Ovington, New York". In excellent condition.

This is a set of 12 dainty Dresden flower bread and butter plates, with the mark of Helena Wolfson, ca. 1886-1891, with Deutsche blumen, shaped gilt rims and a fabulous raised swirl surface. Condition: excellent; some paint losses on the swirl ridges.Measurement: 5" dia.

I have seen weapons such as this one described as everything from ancient Roman, Celtic and Chinese to medieval and on and on. Though I have been unable to find much in the way of references, I am fairly certain that this spear and others like it are ceremonial polearms from the Qing Dynasty. They are most likely 18th or 19th century. They have crudely decorated brass collars between the socket and blade. This one and the three others I have listed are in good condition with no signs of repair...

A nice double series opaque twist (DSOT) wine glass with an ovoid bowl (slightly ogee) which has a fluted lower half. The stem has a pair of 9-ply spiral bands outside of a lace twist. Conical foot, snapped pontil.
