Known as a box link or Venetian chain, this 60 inch Victorian long guard watch chain is hand forged and was made by welding together hollow section rings. Such chains were called " long guards". Often shortened to "guard chains" , these chains were ultra-lightweight and long, anywhere and over 50 inches long. They were designed to hold watches with a dog clips and were originally worn with the chain tucked into a woman's belt, and the watch dangled from the chain...

A Fine Georgian Silver Pint Mug from Newcastle, by John Langlands and John Robertson and Hallmarkked in 1780. An Armonial on the front depicts a hand trust through a crown, holding flowers. Dimensions; 4.75" high x 4" base diameter, weight 11 standard, 10.1 Troy ounces. Some banging on the handle (see photo 5) but overall in very fine condition.

Offered is this very large and rare Mt Washington glass hand-painted lamp in their 'Crown Milano' decor. The lamp is 36 inches tall to the top of the chimney (34 1/4 inches tall without chimney). An early magenta transfer cup and saucer from the 1830s-1850s. This nice early example of transferware is a 2-3/8" high footed cup and matching 6" saucer with a fine magenta (purple/red) colour floral transfer with handpainted highlights. It has a painted 2/441 pattern mark and a formed fluted column design. The saucer is deep for drinking from (an 18th and 19th century custom) and it is typical for the era...

A Magnificent George III Sterling Silver Hot Water Jug by the Noted Silversmith Paul Storr, Hallmarked in London, 1809. A Unique Double Ivory Handle, Emanating from Serpents and ending in an Inverted Swans Head. A Gadrooned Lower Base and a Gadroon and Shell Design on the Shoulder. The number "798" is just next to the Storr Hallmark. Dimensions: 8.5" high, weight 32 standard/ 29.2 Troy ounces. Excellent condition.

The origins of the hookah come from the north western provinces of India along the border of Pakistan in Rajasthan and Gujarat nearly a millennia back. In Persia, before the age of cigar and cigarette, hookha was used for generations and generally they were made from clay. The aristocrasts and wealthy had the upper section of their hookha made from silver and the base was porcelain or crystal...

A simple and vintage English Edwardian sterling silver 2-7/8" salt spoon fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1903-4. It weighs 6.1 grams, it has the maker's mark for Henry Williamson, Ltd. and it is in excellent original condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, monograms, losses, damage or repairs. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use...

This porcelain cup and saucer was produced in Italy by Caopdimonte between 1740 and 1745. It bears a rare “Fleur de Lis” mark under glaze. The saucer is 5 1/4 inches in diameter and is 1 inch deep. The cup is 2 3/4 inches high with a diameter of 2 3/8 inches. The porcelain is highly translucent with egg shell quality. It has a parchment hue and has imperfections in the glaze. The cup shape and handle are very similar to Meissen cups of that time...

This porcelain chocolate cup and saucer was produced in Germany by the Royal Berlin Porcelain Manufactory in 1917. The date letter indicates this year. The saucer has a diameter of 6” and the cup measures 3 ¼” high (without the handle) with a diameter of 3 ¾”...

Cream cup, a pot de creme with molded borders and cherry knob, soft paste / pâte tendre, creamy white, made c 1780 in Tournai, then France and now Belgium. Decoration of under-glaze blue flowers in the Ronda pattern. Ronda was the most popular of the Tournai patterns, produced all through the 19th century till 1891 when the manufactory was closed down. Under-glaze blue mark, swords and three little crosses for the second and third Tournai period. Height "3 ¼ / 8 cm. Condition: fine.
