A White Delft Sauce Boat. Of silver shape raised on three lion mask pad feet and with a lion mask handle. Covered in a thick even white glaze. Possibly German C1745/50. Length; 18.8 cm. A very early bronze signal (table) cannon, dating to the 17th. century.

The cannon very beautiful and possible once burried. With splendid old chesnut or mahogany patina with a dusting of green to the back. Fully functionable cannon made with a bore hole of 16-17 mm.

This porcelain ewer was produced in Germany by Rudolstadt Pottery and Lewis Straus & Sons was the New York distributor. The ewer was produced around 1900. It is 9 1/2 inches tall with a diameter of 3 inches. The porcelain is fine quality with molded details in high relief. There is a medallion in the center of the ewer with a portrait of a young woman. It is framed in elaborate art nouveau style gilding. The gilding is raised and accented with colored enamel beads or jewels...

Antique European silver strainer, ca 1840. Round bowl with concentric piercing, gadrooned rim, and feathered open loop handle. On handle back is engraved shaded block monogram NP. Marked. Very good condition.

Capodimonte porcelain hinged box in high-relief with hand-painted frolicking cherubs and satyrs with a dark grey horse and on the lid are cherubs playing with a goat. Condition: the front panel has a firing flaw and is indented. On the base is a marked verso with a blue letter N over a crown. It was made in Naples Italy. Age: Late 19th Century Size: 4 ¾” ht. x 5 5/8” w. x 4” d. (12.06 x 14.6 x10.16 cm)

Elegant 19th C. chocolate or demitasse coffee pot by Shreve & Co. Measures 10 5/8" tall and 7 3/4" wide (including spout and handle). There are two ivory insets in the beautiful elongated handle. One side has an engraved stag's head. Marks on base include an "S" on each side of a bell, "Shreve & Co., Sterling, San Francisco". On close inspection, I noticed a small dent on the underside of the spout (near top). Otherwise, excellent condition, inside and out. Circa 1890.

A very rare set of four earthenware plates by Choisy-le-Roi depicting architectural landmarks in Paris during the Empire period. Three of the plates depict theatres--a very popular pasttime for the upper classes during the Directorate, Consulate and Empire periods. Edwardian sterling silver and cut-glass decanter. Made by William Aitken in Birmingham in 1902. Ovoid glass bowl. On sides plain flutes alternating with diaper flutes; shoulder has shaped facets. Straight neck with sterling silver collar and hinged domed cover with twisted finial and v-spout; bracket handle. Fully marked. Very good condition.

This pair of porcelain plates was produced in England by Mintons in 1879. This was the height of the Aesthetic Period when Japanese inspired design was in demand. They were made for the retailer Jones, McDuffee & Stratton of Boston, Massachusetts. The creators of these plates and their designs were E. Reuter & R. Pillsbury at Mintons. The plates measure 9 ½ inches in diameter and the decoration has slender metallic vessels contain flowering branches...

German Meissen Cross Sword mark Porcelain large deep Fish Platter, 1920's, 22" long x 10 1/2" wide, 1 3/4" high with multiple floral design inside the fluted gilded border, underglaze blue cross sword mark with number "70" in hand written on the bottom. The condition is good, no damage or restoration.

A Burgundian first standard (950/1000 pure silver) tastevin by acclaimed silversmith Marc Parrod. The style of this particular example is a bit of a departure from Parrod’s typical style. The handle is worked in the form of a snake, thought to represent the the snake from the Garden of Evil as a reminder that wine may lead to earthly temptation. But the bowl Parrod experimented with the decoration to the bowl...

The octagonal barrel is stamped with the Liege prove mark. The lock and the iron fittings are beautifully engraved. The pistol is 14 inches long. In very good condition. We are shipping internationally; no fire arms permit is required.

An attractive antique wine glass with a waisted bucket bowl above a single series air twist stem with a pair of spiral cables. The glass has a conical foot and is 6 1/4 inches tall, with a bowl diameter of 2 5/16 inches and a foot diameter of 2 5/8 inches. There is a very small invisible fill under the foot.

A beautiful Flight, Barr and Barr Worcester plate from the desirable "Harlequin" service. The decoration features an exotic bird painted by Henry Stinton in a central reserve which is surrounded by a white field edged with gilded rococo scrollwork extending into the cavetto. The wide rim of the plate is in a pale blue decorated with multicolored butterflies and insects.

The reverse of the plate has the elaborate red mark which was used specifically during the 1813 to 1819 period...

A colorful Uzbeki velvet Ikat textile fragment in a striking plethora of colors. In good overall condition and mounted on linen. The sight size is 20" by 16" and the overall size is 23 1/2" by 19 1/4".

Purchased in Istanbul in 1996 for a private collection.
