This interesting little ceramic figure is purportedly from the Majapahit period (1293-1500)of Eastern Java. Possibly a religious figure, it is barefoot and has tribal head-dress and flowing robes. There does appear to be a light colored glaze underneath the surface dirt which I have not attempted to remove or clean. The statue is just under 20 cm in height and weighs 444 grams. This porcelain ewer was produced in England by Coalport in the 1890s. The ewer measuresm7 1/8 inches tall and has a diameter of 3 1/4 inches. The ground color is cream with a hint of yellow. The glaze is very smooth and ivory-like. It is decorated with raised enamel beads or jewels. There are flower form ornaments with a tiny dot of turquoise in the middle. This crystal beaker or cup with silver lid was produced in Eastern Europe in 1810. There is a date engraved on the glass. We do not know who the maker was. This glass vase was produced in Kamenicky Senov, Bohemia by Josef Ahne in the late 19th century. The glass studio was in production from 1830 until 1909. This is one of the earlier pieces. The vase is 10 1/4 inches high and 8 inches wide. The opaline glass is hand blown with a polished bottom. The vase is signed Ahne and there is the number 5 on the bottom. Very rare sterling silver fish slice in the 1869 “Tiffany” pattern by Tiffany & Co. The pattern is characterized by a classical simplicity heightened with engraved strapwork in the Persian taste. The entire surface has an unusual matte finish. The pattern was modified slightly in later years and was called “Beekman”. The back is stamped “Tiffany & Co. Sterling Pat. 1869.”

This pair of porcelain plates was produced in England by Copelands China in the 1880s for the retailer J.E. Caldwell of Philadelphia. They measure 8 1/8 inches in diameter. The porcelain blanks are fluted and scalloped. One plate is pale blue and the other is white. They are decorated with an elaborate pattern of raised enamel beads and intricate gilding. Just incredible! This lovely Duhme Victorian Sterling Silver Ladle dated October 10, 1864, with spiral stem and engraved hamdle, is exquisite. The cartouche is engraved with "Hannah" The ladle measures 11.5 inches long with a generous bowl 3 3/4 inches wide. It weighs 4 ounces. A magnificent piece in excellent condition.

This gem was the product of the Gundersen-Pairpoint Company in the mid 20th century, but ended up the collection of an avid glass addict.
