A well decorated, monogrammed and marked hard paste porcelain plate. The outside border is decorated with a narrow peach ground and elaborate gilding with green dots and red lines. It includes a monogram dominated by the letter "R." The center of the plate is decorated with pears and a moth.

The maroon printed mark, "Ch.PILLIVUYT & Cie/PARIS/EXP 1867/MEDAILLE D'OR" is printed inside a dotted oval under the base. Charles Pillivuyt was a well-established porcelain manufacturer...

Four serving dishes from the Poppelsdorf factory. Of segmented shape with gilt borders and hand painted decoration of fruit in lovely colours. Six lovely Victorian sterling silver cocktail forks decorated in a pattern of roses and foliage. The backs are also decorated and are hallmarked with a 4-leaf clover, but I cannot identify the maker. They are also marked "Sterling Pat. '92[1892]". Very nice quality.

Origin: America, circa 1892. Condition: excellent; period monogram "CLM". Size: 5-5/8" long.

It is decorated in a Japanese Imari pattern. The decoration is hand painted and ornately gilded. The decoration on the cup and saucer is bold and vivid. There is some slight wear in the well of the saucer. This cup and saucer is in otherwise excellent condition.
