Very attractive Victorian lacquered papier-mache soap box decorated with a japonaise design. The sides show laborers pulling a boat filled with partiers along a canal. The lid shows a kneeling maiden tending her flower garden in a classic Japanese garden. The lid is also decorated with the soap maker's logo. Japanese styled items were very popular in France from around 1870 until the end of the century.

Sugar bowl and lid, an early piece from the Boch manufacture in Luxembourg. Urn-shaped, with a stylized tulip border, the sides with mask “handles”, all in the Empire style of the late 18th / early 19th century. The base with the impressed circle mark BOCH A (LUXEMBOURG) that was in use 1813-1835. Height "5 ¼ / 13.3 cm. Condition: bowl with hairlines, repair to the lid.

A high quality brilliant cut crystal celery or bread roll dish c1910-30. This 11-1/2 x 4-5/8" serving dish has an acid stamp mark with the Roden mark with the word THOMAS (possibly the pattern name or the retailer). Fiddle dinner spoon from Hall & Elton (1839 -1890), Connectitcut, the pointed shape of the blade indicates mid 19th century. Hall & Elton is known to have made lots of silvered cutlery. However, this spoon is tested for a silver content of at least 830/1000 (= Swedish silver standard), and so probably is coin silver. Sterling silver was introduced 1870 in America. Length "8 ¾ / 22.5 cm, weight 45 grams. Condition: fine.

This simple and elegant late Regency period sterling silver master butter knife is in the Fiddle pattern and it is fully hallmarked for London, England 1836. It has a WE maker's mark (most likely Wm. A lovely Victorian sterling silver sugar sifter in Whiting’s 1882 “Antique Lily Engraved” pattern. The simply-shaped handle is decorated with bright-cut engraving of foliage with a spray of lilies-of-the-valley cascading across the end. The bowl is matte gilt and pierced in a pleasant design that does not compete with the restrained decoration of the handle. Lovely 84 standard silver pickle fork with traditional engraved decoration on both the front and back of the handle, and on the back of the tines. Fully hallmarked for Moscow, 1895. The assayer's mark is that of A. Sevyer. The maker's mark is "NA" (transliterated).

Outstanding sterling silver sardine fork with a fabulous Art Nouveau pattern of Oriental poppies and foliage. Both the front and back are beautifully detailed. The tines are lightly matte gilt. The back is stamped with the hallmark for the Baker Manchester Silver Co. (Providence, RI), a company famous for its ornate serving pieces.

An authentic and vintage Dutch Delft blue and white 9-1/4" plate. This plate has a floriate design and it has the expected blue-tinged underglaze. This unsigned plate is in fair condition with the loss of the glaze around the rim, some minor rim chips, a glued bisected break and a y-shaped crack meeting at the bisected break.
