English large deep Porcelain Soup Plate, wide wine Burgundy color rim with raised Gold Decoration with beautiful and high quality raised gold sprigs of leaves and Berries, accented with raised gold border lines, Ca. 1900, 10" diameter, 1 1/2" high, photos can not capture the beauty and high quality raised gold work. Marked faded blue and impressed mark "England" on the bottom, same mark as #1389822. The condition is good.

Unusual Victorian copper ladies' button-up boot. The Victorians often placed these along their mantles for purely decorative purposes. Most examples are made of brass, but this piece is entirely copper. Another nice touch is the applied scalloped pattern along the front edge of the boot and the white brass buttons.

Beautiful sterling silver asparagus fork made by Whiting, patented 1891, and sold by Bailey, Banks & Biddle.  It measures 10" long x 3 1/2" wide, and weighs 127 grams.  It is in wonderful condition with no dents, scratches or any other problems.  It has the initial B on the handle.

A group of four hand painted German porcelain cups and saucers by Helena Wolfsohn c1870s-80s. Each has fine floral decoration with garlands and gold trim and highlights, both inside and out. Each has a blue ground and all have the blue Wolfsohn backstamp (crowned D over Hand painted Dresden Saxony). One has "Handgemalt" instead of handpainted, and all have the gold rose overstamp. The cups stand 2" high and the saucers are 5-7/8" across, and each saucer also is stamped with a retailer stamp...

A rare form of slag glass, this late 19th century example is richly marbled throughout. It rests on a round foot which rises on a stem supporting a tiered crown for the straight paneled bowl. This specimen is in outstanding condition and retains its identification tag from its original collector.

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany by the Royal Berlin Porcelain Manufacturer, or KPM, in the late 19th century. The saucer is 5 1/4 inches long, 4 3/4 inches wide and 1 1/8 inches deep. The cup is 2 inches high. The set has this interesting shape that was used at the Meissen factory. There is a cute handle with curlecues that is so fragile. The set is decorated with tiny flower buds in monochrome orange. There is lacy gilding on the inside rim of the cup...

Stunning single-vase epergne in blue opaline glass. The deeply ruffled edges of the trumpet vase contrasts with the gentler ruffle of the lower bowl. The coloring is particularly nice.

Origin: probably France, possibly England, c. 1840. Condition: the very bottom of the trumpet is broken off, but when the trumpet is in place, the break is below the juncture with the lower bowl and no problems are visible (there is a remote possibility that this damage was in the making); otherwise excellent...

Stunning 2nd Empire pink opaline glass chalice with gilt and enamel decoration. The outside surface has a matte finish except along the lip, the foot rim and the knop rim, each of which is decorated with gilt lines. The primary decoration, however, fills nearly the entire surface with built-up layers of gilding accented with black enamel. The base has a slightly concave polished pontil.

Origin: France, possibly Baccarat, ca. 1840...

This porcelain plate was produced in Germany by KPM Royal Berlin in the late 19th century. It has the blue scepter and red orb on the back. It measures 8 1/2 inches in diameter. The porcelain is molded with a basket weave border and curved ribs. Pink wild roses decorate the center of the plate. The painting is the excellent quality KPM is noted for. The border is cream colored with lacy gilded accents. Condition: Excellent

A nice late Victorian South Jersey (Vineland/Millville area) glass paperweight with a frit “Home Sweet Home” design. The set-up is worked entirely in white frit and has few nice features including potted plants on the lawn, a picket fence, and a Y-shaped sidewalk. The glass is clean and has good magnification. The flat base is polished.

This is a stoneware crock, 11 1/2" high and approximately 10 1/2" diameter, natural non-gray color, the "2" cut into the wet clay before it was fired. There are several edge chips, but there is some white paint on one side of the rim that is NOT chips, and it comes off with the fingernail. Note the glaze. I am a fine arts dealer and stoneware is not my area of expertise, so, I hope I am identifying this properly...

This is antique ecclesiastical sheet music in Latin, from earlier centuries, commonly known as an "antiphonal". These are normally seen as hand painted manuscripts on vellum (animal skin). The present example (19 3/4" by 14") is a rather typical example, with red bars, brown/sepia lettering and notes and a few capital letters in colors (in this case, one blue, one red)...

Nice Bohemian glass paperweight featuring a concentric millefiori design. The outermost ring is composed of alternating pink and blue complex star canes. The canes are placed over a scrambled ground. The base is flat and is clearly defined. The glass is heavy and of quite good quality.

Origin: Bohemia, circa 1850. Condition: very good, a couple of moons at the top of the crown and a fleabites at the edge of the bottom. Size: 1-13/16” diameter; 1-5/16” high.

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England by Royal Crown Derby in 1892. The date ciphers in the mark indicate this year. The set is made of fine white bone china. The decoration is in the Japanese Imari style. There are borders of cobalt blue, baskets of flowers and all kinds of gilded ornaments. The set has a graceful shape and elaborate design. A Gorham Sterling Silver Sugar Sifter Spoon, in the "Raphael" pattern; patented 1874, and dating from shortly after. The length is 6" and it has a gold washed bowl (2" x 1.5"). There is intricate piercing on the bowl. There is an intricate monogram on the handle (matching item #533) and the condition is excellent.

Banded mochaware bowl in blue and brown. Very nicely formed, with a crisply shaped foot rim. The rim has one 1" hairline, and there is some discoloration to the interior (note that the discoloration visible near the rim is actually very thick bluish glaze, and not staining), but otherwise the bowl is in very good condition. 6-3/8" diam; 3-1/8" high.

Two(2) Victorian English Staffordshire Charles Meigh "Indian Stone China" Soup Plates, 10 1/2" diameter with fluted rim, 2" high, impressed mark on the bottom, the condition is good, no damages.

I don't know quite how to describe this one, so I will begin somewhere. This is a sort of milk glass plate with ornate edge pattern with cut-outs, 8" in diameter. In the last years of the 19th or early years of the 20th century, someone very meticulously cut pieces and strips from used American postage stamps, utilizing those pieces to create designs like early flags, American eagle, crossed swords, a crescent moon, and six pointed star. This fine Staffordshire copper luster pitcher is decorated with a blue band of enamel, creating a very clean, simple design, accented with beading around the border and rim of the pitcher. The fancy serpentine and strap handles give it grace. The warmth of the copper makes it an attractive accessory to a bookshelf or cabinet.

The saucer has a diameter of 5 3/8 inches and the cup is 2 inches high. The set is made of fine, white bone china. It is decorated with wide bands of heavily embossed gilding. This is what I call a down home or servicable antique pot holder. It looks like a odd apple with a tummy sash. It is sewn nicely but with a childish feeling to it. I am sure it was used but care was taken with it. The loop at the top looks original. It is a very nice naive pot holder from the 1840's. It is 4" by 5". I love seeing these hung.

Antique English Staffordshire blue and white transferware plate by Rogers with a very dramatic scene. On the back it is named "The Drama". In very good condition commensurate with age. There is a small chip to the underside of the plate rim that is not seen from the front. Measures just under 8.75" diameter.
