An interesting antique bronze figure, Roman style, possible after antiquity, likely 19th. century AD.

A good bronze, likely of the god Herculas (now missing the club), with fine patina and mounted by way of a brass pin. The mounting is old and the collection whence it came is old too.

We're not certain about the age of this piece so we're selling it as antique but not as ancient.

A finely potted Vauxhall porcelain saucer, painted in the highly desirable "sticky blue". The scene features an Oriental person waving, amidst a landscape with buildings, trees and hills, with birds flying overhead.

This wonderful example is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, paint loss, stains, or restoration. The diameter is 4 1/2".

Dating from the early 1700s before Meissen starting using their cross swords logo is this very rare Meissen porcelain cameo vase. The applied bisque cameo features the goddess Venus looking into a mirror. In very good antique condition, the only evidence of age is wear to the gold gilt. We have not attempted to clean the vase. Measures 9 inches high, about 4.5" diameter at widest.

We love these late Victorian 2 color gold coral earrings and the contrast between the yellow gold and rose gold of the three leaf arrangement. Each leaf is topped with a single coral rose. The leaf form is espaliered to a 15K textured gold "frame". The earrings are 1.5 inches long and hang from shepherd's hooks. Please be sure and ask us about the matching brooch to these earrings.

This porcelain charger or platter was produced in Germany by Meissen between 1860 and 1880. It has the first quality blue crossed swords marking under the glaze. It is 11 inches in diameter and 2 inches deep. There is a 2 inch reticulated border. The center of the charger has a ring of tiny hand painted flowers in pastel colors. Directly in the center is a delicate medallion that looks like a snow flake...

This porcelain ewer was produced in Germany by Rudolstadt Pottery and Lewis Straus & Sons was the New York distributor. The ewer was produced around 1900. It is 9 1/2 inches tall with a diameter of 3 inches. The porcelain is fine quality with molded details in high relief. There is a medallion in the center of the ewer with a portrait of a young woman. It is framed in elaborate art nouveau style gilding. The gilding is raised and accented with colored enamel beads or jewels...

This pair of porcelain and ormolu bronze mounts was produced in France in the 1860s or 1870s. They measure 16 inches tall and are 7 1/2 inches across the figural handles. The ground color is celeste blue. The bronze bases are ornate and very Victorian. The lion's paw feet connect with elaborate scrolls. The handles have putti playing musical instruments. 15K Victorian chain with a link design consisting of two "paperclips" joined together at a perfect 90 degree angle, leading to a lovely unusual lovers knot link where the lover's knot is wrapped in a braided pattern several times about a simple oval link (see close ups). Lovely early Victorian sterling silver paste pendant with a border of paste stones and royal blue enamel, most likely was a pendant given as a gift to a loved one. The beautiful blue color represented innocence and virtue and was probably given to a young woman by her suitor. Women adored their paste jewelry as much as their diamonds, so the use of paste stones indicates this was likely owned by a member of the "upper crust". The pendant is approximately 1 1/4 inches.

Turn-of-the-century Art Nouveau sterling silver bookmark. Made by William B. Kerr in Newark. Dagger blade engraved with interlaced script monogram set in open frame. Cast terminal in form of winged cherub, a guiding spirit to help you keep your place. Back plain. Fully marked including no. 922. Very good condition with nice patina.

A very early Bow porcelain coffee cup with the "Cross-Legged Chinaman" pattern. Adding to the rarity of this cup, in addition to its age, is the crabstock handle.

Charming Victorian turquoise drop earrings set in silver, with daisy form tops and bow bottoms, circa 1880. The earrings are attached to gold shepherds hooks and are 1.4 inches long. Turquoise were considered sentimental love jewelry and the Victorians, ever the romantics, associated turquoise with happiness in life.

18K pendant of rock crystal with a reverse intaglio of the head of an adorable Pekingese, with an inscription on the reverse side, Ed. Van den Hove & Fils, Bruxelles, C. 1880. This pendant is stylistically characteristic of the work of the Pradier family, whose speciality was painting miniature works of domestic animals. These miniature works of art were widely popular in the United States as well as on the Continent. They are often erroneously referred to as Essex Crystals.

Our marquis shaped 18K ring, carved in the shape of the pointed oval and emblematic of the gothic arch, has twelve old-cut rubies and a central cabochon opal accented with rose diamonds. The ring is a "marquis within a marquis" in the way the rubies form the outside border of another border of gold trim, which forms a marquis shape that encloses the cabochon opal and accent diamonds...

This trio of tea cup, coffee cup and saucer was produced in Wales by Nantgarw between 1817 and 1822. Illustration #82 in “Nantgarw Porcelain Album” written by W.D. John, G.J. Coombes and K. Coombes shows a cream jug in the same pattern. None of the pieces are signed. The saucer measures 5 1/2 inches in diameter and is 1 inch deep. It is notable that this saucer does not have a foot rim and is unglazed on the bottom, a detail which is mentioned in the book...

This is a great 1890 mohair cat that stands nicely on its own. He has about 70% of his mohair. He has a loved face with a bit of a pushed up nose. I think he is a Steiff but is without a button. He is 13" long and 9" tall to the top of his head.

A fine cotton exemplar textile fragment from Perugia, Italy, dating back to the 16th century. Foliage and mythological figures, distinctive themes used in Perugia, cover the piece which has been carefully mounted on a cotton covered board.

Overall condition is very fine, with some minor and easily cleaned surface dirt. The size is 21" by 9".

An extremely rare Chaffers porcelain hexagonal beaker, painted in pale and dark tones of blue. The sides depict a scene of a seated lady holding a bunch of flowers, a rock out of which grow similar flowers, a child jumping into the air, and two bare trees on a hill. The interior has a lattice and root border, while the underneath of the beaker has 4 pseudo Chinese characters. Retains the label of Rod Jellicoe, a highly esteemed London ceramics dealer.

Historical dark Blue Staffordshire Teapot, circa 1830, of Lafayette at Franklin's Tomb. Made in honor of Lafayette's 1824 visit to the United States, this teapot was produced by Enoch Wood & Sons (1818 - 1846) of Staffordshire. In excellent antique condition, there is only one fairly small chip on the inside of the teapot, no hairlines, no repairs. The teapot is 11 inches wide from spout to handle by 7 .5" tall.

This glass bowl and under plate was produced in Bohemia, now the Czech Republic, by the Moser Glass Studio in the 1880s. The under plate measures 7 inches in diameter.
