A Dutch delft blue and white tile painted on the diagonal showing a tulip in the center with parts of fruits around it as it grows out of ground that would form a star with three other tiles of the same pattern. 5 1/8 inches (13 cm) square. A little less than ½ inch (1 cm) wide. Tapered sides. Wire hanger attached.

Condition: damaged along the upper left edge, part of an old repair and part not repaired. Firing flaw on the right. Small losses on other edges.

Very rare sterling silver individual berry spoon in Whiting's 1891 "Louis XV" pattern. This is a rare form and the unusual broad shape of the bowl matches that shape of the large berry serving spoons. The bowl is lightly gilt. The back is stamped with Whiting's hallmark, the patent date (indicating an older piece) and the retailer's mark "Jacquemin & Co."

An elaborate large German wine goblet, the round funnel bowl cut and etched with two winged figures clasping hands over an orb. The inscription on the reverse of the glass reads, in Old German: "unser freundschaft sol bestehn bis wir mit der welt vergehn", which translates to "our friendship shall remain until we leave this world".
