Early flint glass water goblet on round foot with thin stem rising to cylindrical bowl wheel etched with flowers and leaves. Excellent condition.

The goblet belonged to the collection of Lenna Gertrude Clarke Judd (1865 - 1939) who moved from New York City in 1903 to Dalton, Georgia where she became a well respected philanthropist through out the sate. We have the complete provenance from Mrs Judd down to the present.

An exceptionally well done Bohemian souvenir crystal glass goblet of souvenir type depicting various attractions in Bavaria, Austria, and Bohemia. The complex glass was made with 5 parts starting with a faceted scalloped base, a faceted plinth with flashed grape leaves, a ruby spacer, then a short faceted stem with supports a large Grecian urn style bowl with more flashed leaves, and then the showpiece medallions of frosted etched historic sites on ruby flashed ground...

The beautiful black finish on this stone carved Sphinx is evocative of the Egyptian relics which this carving represents. The Sphinx is mounted on a large block decorated with hieroglyphics on 3 sides. The black finish is silky smooth. Of the many small figural Sphinxes in our collection, we find this one the most refined. The material may be basalt.

A very unique 14 sided paperweight with an interior sculpture having a latticino base supporting stranded cage housing a green glass bubble. Its quality workmanship is accented by the beveled edges on the top and bottom. In excellent condition and unsigned. Please note that the glass is slightly yellow, due in large measure tot he yellow glass rods. Our images suggest a clearer brighter glass, but that is not the case when viewed in normal light. A Russian icon, Theotokos of Kazan, also Our Lady of Kazan, depicts the Theotokos Mary with the Christ, produced in wood, tempura, silvered brass oklad with cloisonné enamels on the nimbus. A most gorgeous porcelain bowl hand painted with green and pink fancy decorations around the rim of the bowl with a central vignette of two birds fluttering in a magnolia tree. These fine porcelain ewers are made in a neoclassical style with a slightly flaring base supporting a bulbous body whose neck narrows before ending in an elongated spout. Majolica wares were all about representing nature, and this gurgle fish pitcher is no exception. These fish pitchers came in a number of variations, most of which dealt with color schemes and minor design differences. This pitcher, we believe, represents the cream of the crop in a number of respects, the first of which is the gorgeou color, the primary one being the rich nearly forest green glaze which scales to mint green. A fine double series opaque twist (DSOT) wine glass with a widely flaring waisted bucket bowl, the bowl atop a stem containing a pair of spiral threads outside of a central gauze. Conical foot with rough snapped pontil. Lead glass with good color, striations, and tooling marks.

This set of 6 porcelain plates was produced in Germany by the Carl Thieme Dresden Factory in the 1890s. The plates measure 8 1/4 inches in diameter. They have a reticulated border measuring about 1 1/4 inches with tiny blue and gold raised rosettes. Vividly colored floral sprays and a ring of flowers decorated the centers of each plate. It has been a long while since we have offered a Massier duck for sale, due in no small part to their rarity.
