This antique serving spoon from the Georgian era has a berry motif in the gold-washed interior of the bowl (the wash is very pale and doesn’t show up in the photos). A Rare Small Sterling Silver Sauce Boat by Isaac Cookson, (one of the most notable silvermiths of the time). Hallmarked in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1742, during the Reign of George II (1727-1760). Dimensions; 5.5" long x 2.5" x 2.5"; weight 3 ounces. Excellent condition.

An uncommon form (only one or two were part of a full service), made by Worcester in the Dr. Wall period. The design has a central rose surrounded by garlands of flowers in cartouches, all done in a soft European palette. Alternating with these cartouches are others that are pure white, making this decoration very unusual. The background of the dish is, of course, the desirable blue scale made so famous by Worcester.
