A beautiful early 17th century silk floss textile embroidered with a variety of flowers in a panoply of colors. The central section has larger and more elaborate examples, while the borders have smaller meandering flora. Most probably of Italian origin.

These darling 2 1/2" tall Koala bears are antique velvet. They have some kind of metal buttons for eyes and noses. Their little paws wrap around the real nut shells. They have old red ribbons around their necks. The ribbons are old but may not be original. The velvet has lost some of the pile but it is not noticeable with the foundation fabric being the same color. They are a little bit soft with an inner core of wood so they sit nicely. Art Deco sterling silver and 14k flask. Made by Elgin American Mfg Co. in Elgin, Illinois, ca 1920. Curved rectilinear sterling silver body. On front fine vertical stripes in yellow and pink gold. Rectangular frame (vacant) applied to upper left corner. Back plain. Hinged and cork-lined bayonet cover. Fully marked with maker’s stamp and phrase “14k Gold on Sterling”. Very good condition.

Porcelain underglaze blue painted dinner plate decorated in a direct steal from Worcester with the “pine cone” pattern. The form of the plate is slightly different than the Worcester form but design and border are a close copy. Worcester is done with a transfer prints whereas this plate is hand painted and the porcelain is hard paste as opposed to soft paste. Since the pattern being copied is from around 1780 this plate is probably circa 1790. 9 1/8 inches (23 cm) diameter.

True to the name this doll is rag stuffed simple and straight forward. Her body is two gingerbread shaped pieces of cloth, sewn together and firmly stuffed with rags. Sterling silver sugar spoon with very fine decoration of a peacock amidst trailing foliage. The bowl is parcel gilt and is decorated with bright-cut engraving. The reverse is marked "Sterling". Before 1916, many American silversmiths did not mark their name on flatware.
