A fine Lowestoft porcelain strap-handled creamboat, the ovoid molded body with an undulating rim. From Herculaneum in Liverpool c 1810, all with the impressed mark of the pottery as a straight line, in the style of Wedgwood, the name of the pottery also competing with Wedgwood’s Etruria. Condition: Broken and restuck with some fairly crude filling of a couple of lost bits. One serious rim chip and numerous glaze and minor chips on the edge. Some wear to the gold lustre.
