A pair of Staffordshire soup plates, transfer printed in blue in the Willow pattern, c 1820 or somewhat earlier, no foot rims and probably Spode. Both pearlware, with variation in thickness and pattern. Diameter "9 ¼ / 23.5 and 24 cm, height of both "1 ½ / 4 cm. Condition: the smaller plate with a nick to the rim (cf. pics).

Dutch Delft Pottery thick Polychrome painted Plate, 18th Century, 9" diameter, 1 1/4" high, with garden scene. There are some chips around the rim, glaze is crazed.

A superb pair of true Arts and Crafts stoneware pottery matched ewers in a rich chocolate brown colour, c1880-1900. The upper shoulders or these 7-5/8" ewers or pitchers are in a glossy glaze, and the lower body has a naturalistic matte glaze over a stippled style textured surface topped with a decorative linked band of semicircles. The glaze didn't quite flow to cover the interiors of the hand made spouts and the bottoms are unglazed...

Meissen blue and white cup and saucer. Decoration in the “Blue Fluted” pattern originally designed by Meissen c 1740, later to be used by other manufacturers, esp. Danish Royal Copenhagen. The slim handle, ribbed inside, shape of the sword marks and the mark 44 altogether suggest a date between 1818 and 1860 (cf. Graesse on Meissen, 110). Height of cup "2 ½/5,8 cm and diameter of saucer "5 ¼/14 cm. Condition: fine.

A Royal Doulton Chiné stoneware jug or pitcher with pewter lid, c 1890, partly gilt and enamelled in turquoise, blue and white. The Chiné pattern, where a textile – lace - was pressed into the clay to create the desired effect, was invented by Slater, director of Doulton from 1887 to 1936. This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in Germany by the Franziska Hirsch Dresden decorating studio in the 1890s. The saucer has a diameter of 5 1/8 inches and the cup is 2 inches high. It is a bit larger than a demitasse so I believe it was made for afternoon tea. The set is hand painted with vibrantly colored flowers. Little sprigs dot the interior of the cup. There is lacy gold trim on the rims and gilded accents on the handle. Condition: Excellent

A luscious bud vase in the Onion Bulb shape 645, enameled in mulberry and blue. The vase was designed in 1907 by Emma Kinkead. The underside is incised with the logo and name of Van Briggle and Colo Spgs for Colorado Springs. Very good condition with 3 very small glaze specks at the base which are noted in a picture. The vase dates to early 20th C. Dimensions: 3.5" w, 3.25" d, 4.25" h. The vase has very small glaze flakes near the base. Otherwise it is in very good condition.

A pair of antique Dutch china wedding bowls circa 1865. This nice set of wedding bowls dates to 1865 and they were made to commemmorate the wedding of Dirk Hoogedorn to Agije Brink on April 30, 1865. This porcelain dish was produced in France in the late 19th century. It has an underglaze mark that says Limoges, France but there is no factory name. The dish was evidently sold undecorated to an amateur artist who painted it. The dish has cut out handles on the sides. It is 8 1/4 inches across the handles. The roses are painted with delicacy. SOLD Porcelain underglaze blue painted dinner plate decorated in a direct steal from Worcester with the “pine cone” pattern. The form of the plate is slightly different than the Worcester form but design and border are a close copy. Worcester is done with a transfer prints whereas this plate is hand painted and the porcelain is hard paste as opposed to soft paste. Since the pattern being copied is from around 1780 this plate is probably circa 1790. 9 1/8 inches (23 cm) diameter.

A pair of English Staffordshire ”Imari” plates, the decoration painted in under-glaze blue and enameled, the rims lustre-glazed. The backs with a printed mark Ironstone China. Early Victorian, c 1830-40. Mason’s was the first manufacturer to launch Ironstone ware but many others were to follow. Diameter "9¾ / 24,5 cm. Condition: some crackling to the glaze to one plate, and a small chip to the underside of the rim (cf. pics).

A pair of hand painted English porcelain dessert serving dishes, probably Spode, lozenge shaped with lobes and decorated with floral sprays and sprigs in bright colors with gilt scalloped border and gilt floral design in the apexes. No marks on the base, but this form with the elegant gilding in the apexes is ascribed to Spode and from early in the 19th century. Length 10 ¼, width 7 ¼ and height 2 inches.

Condition: No chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. Almost no wear.

A porcelain ovoid form teapot with a floral knop and hand painted with floral sprays on either side and floral sprigs on above and below the handle, picked out with magenta, and on the spout as well as above and below. The crossed hayforks with a line through them was the factory mark for the late 198th century. Height 5 1/8 inches (13 cm), length across spout and handle 7 ¼ inches (18.4 cm) and width 4 ½ inches (11.4 cm).

A very well modeled porcelain teacup with a delicate loop handle hand painted with a red bodied bird perched on a branch in a fanciful landscape with a fence in the background. Hand painted puce flowers on either side of the handle and in the bottom of the cup. Unmarked but the porcelain and the bird décor are characteristically Ansbach circa 1780. 4 inches (10 cm) across the handle, 3 ¼ inches (8 cm) diameter, 2 inches (5 cm) height.

A 19thC china child with doll in washtub figurine. This unusual and well made hand painted late 19th century porcelain figural whimsey or decorative figure is of a girl holding a Pierrot doll over a washtub. This European 3-5/8" across and 3-3/4" high figurine has gold trim and fine handpainting; it is unsigned except for a 2219 (or 2279) and a 49 stamped on the bottom.
