Black-glazed English small teapot with floral decoration in raised enamels, Victorian, c 1850-70. The glaze is named after Jackfield, a town in Shropshire where pottery with a jet black shiny glaze first was produced in the 18th century. No mark except for a brown S (painters mark?) to base. Height including lid "4/ 10 cm. Condition: chips to the inside of lid (cf. pics). A cup and saucer with very similar decoration is offered in another Global Ceramics listing (cf. the last picture).

The Jacob Petit factory at Fontainebleau produced these porcelain cornucopia vases Century 1840. The lavish cornucopias are mounted on rectangular bases decorated with rocaille and gilded swags and vines; the corners are finished with swans. The horn is molded, painted with flowers in reserve on each side. The rim is a rococo staple of undulating flourishes, decorated in gold in the upper interior. The base has a peach wash; the horn in a robin's egg blue palette...

Authentic antique, Russian (The Grand Duchy of Moscow), a rare version of the Orthodox Byzantine double-sided cast bronze pectoral cross pendant, circa 15th- 16th century AD. This porcelain vase was produced in England by Royal Doulton in the 1890s. It is signed by the artist Edwin Wood. He specialized in painting flowers and particularly roses. The vase is 8 inches high and 3 inches across the top. It is made of fine bone china. It has a pedestal foot and scrolled handles. The flower painting is exquisitely detailed. The colors are vibrant. Five French majolica plates from H. Boulenger & Cie in Choisy-le-Roi, 1880’s. Aesthetic Japanesque compositions and molded design in contrasting colors, ochre and turquoise with crackle glaze effects. The motifs are nightly poetic: a boy gazing at the moon (twice, in reverse coloring), a night wanderer with a lantern, the Man in the Moon fishing and an earthly fisherman just catching a fish. This porcelain chocolate cup and saucer was produced in France in the late 19th century. The blank was manufactured by Tressemann and Vogt Limoges and the decoration was done by an unknown decorator using a spurious Sevres marking. A rare flesh pink glazed earthenware Art Nouveau style vase painted with Narcissus flowers in green, white and yellow enamels.
