The ewer is hand-painted with Fall scenery - I wonder if Daum Nancy cameo artists were inspired with artistry similar to this in cameo-decorating their scenic glass vases. A large, beautiful, 1884 Rookwood art pottery covered ginger jar, decorated with a bird in flight. The jar is in excellent condition (there is a small scratch on the jar's body - see picture). The jar has the size-code, 'A', the code for the largest-sized Rookwood articles: the ginger jar is 8 1/4 inches tall and 7 inches wide at the shoulders. Since the jar is not artist-signed, it was most probably a display piece at Rookwood's showroom in Cincinnati...

English "Derby" Ironstone Imari pattern heavy deep Well and Tree Platter, 21" long, 16 1/2" deep, with fluted edge in typical Imari colors-underglaze blue, overglaze iron red and gilded fluted border, the rim is about 3 1/2" wide with deep oval shape well and indented shape of tree on the deep bottom in the center. Red mark "Royal Crown Derby, England" above the Crown mark, plus impressed Crown and numbers on the bottom. The condition is good, no damages.

Pair English Spode Stoneware Imari pattern covered Tureens, 5 1/2" high include top knob, 10" diameter, Imari design are on the top of the cover and as well as inside the tureen. A superb pair of true Arts and Crafts stoneware pottery matched ewers in a rich chocolate brown colour, c1880-1900. The upper shoulders or these 7-5/8" ewers or pitchers are in a glossy glaze, and the lower body has a naturalistic matte glaze over a stippled style textured surface topped with a decorative linked band of semicircles.
