Mid 19th C Staffordshire figurine of a tailor riding a goat with 2 kids in a basket. Inspired by Meissen' s Tailor of Count Bruhl figurine, the goat is carrying an iron in her mouth while the tailor is holding a small roll of material in his hand. The porcelain is molded in a kind of repousse with berries and leaves all over the surfaces. The leaves are flow blue under glaze and the berries are gilded over the glaze. The veins in the leaves are hand gilded. The rims and handle are trimmed in gold...

A pair of “King’s pattern” heavy porcelain dinner plates with underglaze blue and overglaze red and gilt decoration. This pattern was an Imari pattern that acquired the “King” name. Both are marked with impressed, “DERBY” under a crown. Both also have red interlaced Ds below a crown. One has the number, “563” below the Ds and the other has a printed mark for the retailer, “John Morlock” of London. These plates are from between 1877 and 1890...
