Twelve(12) Haviland Limoges Gold Rim Soup Plate, Ca. 1920, 9 1/4" diameter, 1 1/2" high, encrusted Gold Rim, marked "Haviland France" in green and "Rich & Fisher 467 Fifth Ave New York" in red. One small chip under the gold rim, only shows from under, not from top.

Twelve(12) Lenox Gold Rim Luncheon Plates, Ca. 1920, 9" diameter, 3/4" high, mark "Lenox, made expressly for Frederick Kerr's Sons Newark. N.J." in green on the bottom. The condition is good.

Four 19th century faience plates, probably from the Les Islettes factory near Reims in Northern France. Three with lobed and one with straight border. All decorated with sprigs of flowers in the "gaudy" style, one with a flower basket. Diameter "8 ¾ - 9 / 22 - 23 cm Condition: rim frits and wear to one plate, the flower basket plate with a charming attempt made in the factory to conceal a glaze mist at the border (cf pics).

Three 19th century faience plates, Northern France (Saint Clement?), all with vivacious floral decoration in the "gaudy" style, all with combed red border. Diameter "9/ 23 cm. Condition: wear to the decoration of two plates, all with rim frits.

A pair of creamware pierced plates, thinly potted and with ribbed recess and hand pierced border. Possibly from the factory of James & Charles Whitehead. In the pattern book published 1798 by the Whitehead brothers, two versions of this pattern are depicted side by side: one with a beaded edge, the other a ”plain” version like these two. Creamware plate, lobed and moulded, with pierced border of flower heads. Probably made in Staffordshire around 1780. Diameter "8 1/3 / 21 cm. Condition: a few glaze flaws, caused in the fabrication process.

A large ceramic studio art vase by the renowned Clement Massier whose work with lustrous iridescent glazes still commands admiration today. This ceramic vase is decorated with mythological and fantasy creatures, inscribed on the surface, each of which alternates between stylized fleurs de lys. The glazes are deep red - perhaps burgundy - infused with coppery tones...

A fine and early Bow porcelain Blanc de Chine thinly potted chocolate or coffee cup with raised prunus blossoms.

Excellent condition with no cracks, losses or restoration. Compared to the usual height of Bow coffee cups of this form and period, which is approximately 2 9/16", the example offered here is 5/8" taller, at 3 3/16". The bowl diameter is 3". A superb and rare piece.

A well painted and modeled figure of a kneeling man wearing a black cap and brown coat holding a board with a white cloth covered with fruit. On the underside of the base are the poorly impressed the marks of the Gardner factory in Moscow. A similar figure is pictured in the book Russian Porcelains by Marvin C. Ross. The book illustrates the collection of Russian porcelain at Hillwood Museum in Washington D.C. The figure is 5 inches (13 cm) tall...

A beautiful Chelsea finger bowl of bellied form, the rim with a brownish-red line, and the body and interior painted with various flowers. Red anchor mark.

This wonderful example of an uncommon form is in excellent condition, with no flaws or issues to speak of. 3" in height, 3 3/4" maximum diameter.

A delicately potted and painted Vauxhall porcelain tea bowl with an outcurving lip, and depicting rockwork, trees, and an oriental pavilion. The interior with 3 dots and the bottom with a label from the Marie Evans collection.

The diameter is 2 7/8" and the height is 1 5/8". Condition is excellent, with no chips, cracks, restoration, or paint loss. Please note that any dark lines in the photos are shadows from the display stand.

A rare comical stoneware lidded jar in the shape of a blowfish by Mark V. Marshall for Doulton Lambeth, circa 1885. This globular vessel stands on three fin feet and the lid has a fin shaped handle. The entire piece is glazed in rich green, white and brown tones. The underside bears an impressed "Doulton Lambeth" mark, signature, and other incised factory marks. In excellent condition, it measures 6.5 inches high and 5.25" diameter.

A set of 4 Chinese Qing dynasty tea bowls and saucers. These antique porcelain blue and white 1-5/8" tall tea bowls or cups and 4-5/8" wide saucers date from 1736-1795. It is possible they are slightly older. This antique Chinese porcelain set has a man on a horse holding a small twig, followed by a servant carrying provisions. The background shows a tree starting to flower. My interpretation is that he was looking for indications that winter is over, so the important work of spring can begin...

A Davenport 2614 Old Imari 2451 style pattern cup and saucer from 1870-1887. This wonderful fully hand painted English bone china 2-5/8" tall cup and matching 5-5/8" saucer has lush gold, cobalt and orange decoration. The pattern was later copied by Royal Crown Derby as "Old Imari" or "Traditional Imari" (in production from 1902-2014)...

A beautiful Flight, Barr and Barr Worcester plate from the desirable "Harlequin" service. The decoration features an exotic bird painted by Henry Stinton in a central reserve which is surrounded by a white field edged with gilded rococo scrollwork extending into the cavetto. The wide rim of the plate is in a pale blue decorated with multicolored butterflies and insects.

The reverse of the plate has the elaborate red mark which was used specifically during the 1813 to 1819 period...

A beautiful Flight Barr and Barr large sauce tureen from the Harlequin service. Two sides of the tureen have an exotic bird painted, by Henry Stinton, in a central reserve which is surrounded by a white field edged with gilded rococo scrollwork. The remainder of the body is a sky blue decorated with insects...

A beautiful Spode porcelain plate painted with a variety of motifs. The pattern number is not listed in any of the Spode pattern books, nor have I been able to find examples of the decoration. A reasonable assumption might be that this was produced as a "one-off" sample for a larger service that was not completed.

The decoration on the plate includes an exotic bird, shells and feathers, and fruits, an interesting combination to say the least...

This porcelain dish was produced in Germany by the Helena Wolfsohn Dresden studio in the 1890s. The dish measures 10 3/4 inches long, 7 1/2 inches wide and 2 inches deep. The dish is formed in the shape of a fan. The center of the dish is hand painted with a Watteau scene of lovers dressed in 18th century costume. They are enjoying the pleasures of the garden. The painting is very detailed and colorful. The border has a similarity to designs done at the Sevres factory in France...

Porcelain Mustache Cup and Saucer, Ca. before 1920, saucer-6" diameter, cup 2 1/4" high, small ledge to stop the hair get wet, Pink Rose painted on the low relief Rose pattern design on the outside the cup and the saucer, within inside the Scalloped edge gold rim, marked "V" in gold on the bottom. The condition is good.

Porcelain heavy Mustache Cup and Saucer, Ca. before 1920's, saucer-7" diameter, cup-3 1/4" high, cup or mug decorated with raised low relief letter "Present" in gold and black with Gold Wheat design on top, Gold Prim Rose and leafy vines on the saucer, some of the design are worn gold, mark "43" in gold on the bottom. The condition is good.

This porcelain chocolate set was produced in Germany by the Carl Thieme Saxonian Porcelain Factory at Potschappel around 1900. The set consists of a chocolate pot, 10 ¾ inches tall, 6 cups, 3 inches high without the handle, and 6 saucers, 4 ½ inches in diameter. The set is decorated in a pattern similar to Marie Antoinette’s china. Each piece is expertly hand painted with vibrant sprays of flowers. The flowers are framed with elegant raised gilding. Copper luster and blue mustard pot, a footed salt and small dish, and a copper lustre and green pepper. All made around 1840-50, early Victorian Staffordshire lusterware. Height of pepper "4 ¾/ 12 cm, diameter of salt "3 ½/ 8.7 cm and of dish "5/ 12.8 cm. Condition: nick to the mustard pot lid.

A group of pink lusterware made by Allerton, Staffordshire: slop bowl, two cups and three saucer bowls, all decorated with the Dahlia flowers typical of Charles Allerton & Sons, c 1860-70. Pattern numbers (?) 22, 707 and 701. Diameter of slop bowl "5½ / 14 cm, height of cups "2 ½ / 6.5 cm, diameter of saucers c. "5½ / 14 cm. Condition: wear to part of the decoration, nick to the foot rim of the slop bowl, one saucer with a hairline (cf. pics).

A beautiful example of the Coalport factory "Rock and Tree" pattern, done in the Imari palette, derived from the Japanese. This pattern was highly favored by George, the Prince of Wales and the Prince Regent, and was used and still displayed at the Royal Pavilion in Brighton.

The dish, or soup bowl, is in superb condition, with no flaws and with factory-fresh looking painting and gilding. The diameter is 9 1/2".

A bowl and a dish, slop bowl and stand, part of a tea service. Soft porcelain, made in Staffordshire around 1840. Pink luster geometric border pattern with flowers in reserves and enamelling in green, with some red and gilt. Diameter of bowl "6/ 15.3 cm, height "3/ 7.5 cm, diameter of dish "7 ½ / 19.5 cm. Condition: a hairline to the bowl and an old restoration to the border of the dish (cf. pics).

Pearlware dinner plate in the Curbing palms pattern, by Job Ridgway, transfer printed in blue, unmarked. Job Ridgway’s manufacture worked for only a short period, 1802 – 1813. A variation of the Willow border and an additional Nankin border surround an Oriental landscape with curbing palm trees and exotic pagodas. Diameter "9 ¾ / 24.7 cm. Condition: fine.

This porcelain plate was produced in England by Coalport in the 1890s. It measures 8 ¾ inches in diameter. The plate is made of fine, white bone china. The rim has a rococo style. It is elaborately hand enameled with raised paste gilding. There are urns overflowing with fruits and flowers. This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England by Brown, Westhead & Moore around 1875. It is not marked but we found the shape in “A Compendium of British Cups” by Berthoud. The saucer measures 5 ¼ inches and the cup is 2 ¾ inches high. The set has wonderful celeste blue enamel coloring. There are bands of tiny hand painted flowers accenting the rims. Gilded accents and gold trim on rims and handles add to the design. CONDITION: Excellent

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Nymphenburg in the 1890s. The saucer has a diameter of 4 ½ inches and is 1 inch deep. The cup is 2 ¼ inches high. The porcelain is fine, white, hard paste. There is a hand painted scene on the front of the cup with colorful exotic birds. The saucer has little insects scattered about. There is lacy gold trim around the rims of each piece. CONDITION: Excellent, first quality

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in France by a Paris decorator around 1870 or earlier. The saucer has a diameter of 5 ½ inches and the cup is 1 ¾ inches high. The ground color of this set is deep cobalt blue. The cup has a reserve on the front with a Watteau scene of lovers in a garden. There are two scenes of landscapes on the saucer. Ornate gilded cartouches frame these scenes. It is very similar to work done at the Sevres factory and even the handle is the same style. ...

This porcelain plate was produced in Germany by the Royal Berlin Porcelain Manufactory, or KPM, in 1919. The date ciphers indicate this year. The plate is 8 ¾ inches in diameter. The porcelain is delicate and translucent with a reticulated border. The decoration is beautifully hand painted with the “soft paste paint” style. There is a fragile dragonfly hovering near the realistically painted flowers. The reticulated pattern on the border is outlined in gold and the rim is also gilded. ...

This porcelain figure or bust was produced in France by Vion & Baury in the 1870s. This piece is signed with impressed letters EB, Paris and a signature S. Kinsburger. This is a stoneware crock, 11 1/2" high and approximately 10 1/2" diameter, natural non-gray color, the "2" cut into the wet clay before it was fired. There are several edge chips, but there is some white paint on one side of the rim that is NOT chips, and it comes off with the fingernail. Note the glaze. An 18th century faience desk set or inkwell for a lady, decoration of flower sprigs, mainly Forget me nots. French, possibly Rouen around 1780, Width "6 ¼ / 15.8 cm and height " / 5.7 cm. The base with four little feet and mark W in black, maybe for William Sturgeon who owned one of the Rouen factories from 1776. Condition: later restorations having been removed, now left with cracks and hairlines (cf. pics) but still charming.
