This two piece porcelain bowl with underplate was produced in the United States by Pickard around 1910. The underplate has a diameter of 10 1/8 inches and the bowl is 8 1/8 inches in diameter and 3 1/8 inches high. There is a gold leaf covering the mark from the porcelain manufacturer with the Pickard mark on it. The set is octagonal shaped. It is hand painted with delicate pink roses and gilded flourishes. Mintons imprint and date mark and a paper label from "T Goode & Co. South Audley Street, Grosvenor Square London". (Thomas Goode, Prestige Retailer, established in 1827 and moved to South Audley Street in 1876. Goode had a close relationship with Minton.) Excellent condition.

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Meissen in the late 19th century. It has first quality blue crossed swords markings under glaze. The high relief molded design is known as “New Brandenstein”. The borders have a basket weave connected to wavy lines spreading across the porcelain. This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in England by Doulton Burslem in the 1890s. It is made of bone china and has molded decorations and an ornate handle. The decoration is known as “Spanish Lace”. Fine gilding is accented with raised enamel beading and hand painted flowers. The pattern covers the entire surface of both pieces. A pair of molded edge porcelain dessert serving bowls, Spode circa 1814 with bat transferred fruit in the center. Pattern number 1686. Neither is marked, but the distinctive border of twined dolphins alternating with a large plant (?) is a Spode design. The pattern of fruits is currently made by Spode and called “Chatham.” The border is set off with a band of gilding at the rim and the inside edge. The bat transfer is an unusual color, almost brown at some angles and gold at others...

Set of eight(8) English Royal Doulton Cobalt Blue Dinner/ Service Plates, Ca. 1902, 10 1/2" diameter with fluted edge and beautifully detailed encrusted raised gold on true Cobalt Blue rim, the condition is good, specially details in raised gold is just beautiful. Marked "Royal Doulton England" with "Lion" on top in green and retailed by "Lovingston Brothers" in purple plus Impressed mark, also black numbers are "HB9482 & 9966" all inside gold bottom rim.

A floral decorated milk jug and floral decorated cover with a rose and leaves finial. The potting of the jug is fairly heavy at the bottom, the decoration of a fairly elaborate boquet and a simpler one on the other side is complimented by the yellow painted rims and decoration on the handle. Vincennes and Sevres had a monopoly on using gilt decoration so that other French factories had to use paint where they might have used gilding. Height approx. 5 ¾ inches...

Six little fruit plates and a dish. German Majolica, c 1900, unmarked, with palmettos in light blue surrounding a relief-moulded twig of leaves and apples. The colours are lighter on the dish and three of the plates than on the rest. Diam: "6¼/ 16 cm and "9 1/2/ 24 cm. Condition: wear to the outer rim on two of the plates.

This set of 12 porcelain dinner plates was produced in France by Charles Ahrenfeldt Limoges around 1900. They were made exclusively for the fine retailer Richard Briggs & Co. of Boston. The plates measure 9 1/8 inches in diameter. The plates are decorated with elaborate raised gilding. Cartouches containing vividly hand painted sprays of flowers decorate the borders. A superb example of a Worcester pickle dish with the "Two Peony Rock Bird" pattern with formal plant scrolls around the edge. The pattern is classified as uncommon, and the leaf form pickle dish is less common than the shell form. A workman's mark is on the underside.

The piece offered here is as fine as it could be, with no chips, cracks, paint loss, or restoration. The colors are vibrant with good contrast. Any areas of white, paint skipping, or faintness are due to reflections in the photos...

A beautiful and elegant Derby covered chocolate cup and saucer. Decorated in cobalt blue, gilding, and heavily painted white dots to simulate pearls. Both the cup and saucer are marked with the puce crown and batons, which indicates a very desirable Derby period. Lenox Porcelain Demitasse Cup and Saucer, Ca. 1910, Saucer-4 3/4" diameter, 1/2" high, Cup-2 1/4" high, 3 1/4" wide include handle, with etched brilliant gold and cobalt blue rim, green mark "Lenox" on Demitasse cup, "Lenox" "Dulin & Martin, Washington DC" on saucer on the bottom. A nice Staffordshire inkwell or quill holder in the form of a recumbent deer. The naive painted decoration almost makes it look as if she's wearing a little black hat. The doe is posed on a white base molded as a rocky outcropping. The base is highlighted with a burnished gilt line.
