This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in England by Royal Doulton in the 1890s. The saucer has a diameter of 3 ¾ inches and the cup is 1 ½ inches high. The set is made of fine bone china. There are pink borders with light blue enamel panels. All of the segments are decorated with ornate raised gilding. It has a version of the Scarlet Japan pattern with panels of prunus and chrysanthemums separated by orange bands with gilding and reserved with mons. The interior also has three mons in red.
