A very well modeled porcelain teacup with a delicate loop handle hand painted with a red bodied bird perched on a branch in a fanciful landscape with a fence in the background. Hand painted puce flowers on either side of the handle and in the bottom of the cup. A pair of dry drug jars decorated with blue leaves top and bottom and the drug name in the middle, all over a light grayish blue glaze. This form is typical of the 18th century Italian drug jars. The hand throwing on a wheel is evident on the glazed interior of both jars. 7 ¼ inches tall and 4 ¾ inches diameter, (18.5 cm tall, 12 cm diameter).
Condition; Both have chips on the base and roughness from throwing on the mouth. Both have later marking on the base with a magic marker.
On Monday January 3, 1752, the Dutch East India Company, (Verenigde Oost-Indische Compagnie, VOC) ship Geldermalsen, struck a reef on her return journey to the Netherlands and sank in the South China Sea. Of the crew 32 survived and 80 went down with the ship and her cargo of tea, raw silk, textiles, dried wares, groceries, lacquer and porcelain. The "Nanking cargo" is the modern name given to the porcelain cargo.

This set of 6 porcelain plates were made in France in the mid 19th century. The may have been made by a Paris porcelain decorator. The plates have a diameter of 9 5/8 inches. They are made of fine hard paste porcelain. The rims are scalloped. They are decorated in the Sevres style and have the crossed L’s under glaze. The decoration is completely hand painted. These porcelain plates were produced in Germany by Meissen around 1750. They have the blue underglaze crossed swords mark from this period. The plates have a diameter of 9 1/2 inches. The rims are scalloped and there is a molded basket-weave type border. The plates are about 1 1/2 inches deep. They are hand painted with colorful fruits and flowers. This pair of porcelain candlesticks was produced in France by Tressemann & Vogt Limoges at the turn of the 19th century. They were sold white ware to a studio painter for decoration. They measure 7 5/8 inches high and the diameter of the foot is 4 1/4 inches. The pair is decorated with rose and pink colored roses that tumble around each piece. The ground color is green that shades from light to dark. The tops of the candlesticks are painted with gold.

A set of six Dutch delft wall tiles of a hand painted blue basket of fruit inside a square with a white square behind it at 45 degrees with the same orientation as the tile with its manganese ground. A fourth of a blue flower with a touch of manganese is painted in each corner. Each tile is approximately 5 3/16 inches (13.5 cm) square. A superb and early spread base mug example of the Worcester "Walk in the Garden" pattern.
