Superb early hinged porcelain box with gilt brass trim. The top of the box is painted with a colorful scene of a pheasant in a pastoral setting with foliage, pink flowers and a lake. The bottom half of the box is painted in a coordinating pattern. Boxes such as this were used to hold small candies called “bonbons”. This porcelain slipper was produced in Germany by Meissen in the late 19th century. It measures approximately 6 1/4 inches long and 2 inches wide. The porcelain is modeled in the shape of a slipper with a fold in the heel. The decoration is hand painted in cobalt blue and gold. It has an elaborate design of stylized birds and flowers that are reminiscent of Persian style. There is gold trim around the rim of the slipper.
Condition is excellent.

This porcelain bell was produced in Germany by Meissen in the 1890s. It has the authentic underglaze crossed swords marking. The bell measures 4 1/4 inches high and has a diameter of 2 3/4 inches. It is hand painted with the Tischenmuster (table pattern) design. The design is an Asian inspiration. The decoration is very colorful and has abundant gilded accents. The bell retains its original wooden clapper and this bell rings with a lovely tone.

Very rare, circa 1888, English tapestry ware biscuit jar with hand painted scenes of a pair of quail and a pair of herons in their appropriate settings.
The surface is very clean and feels smooth to the touch. Marked on bottom is the Taylor,Tunnicliffe & Co. of Hanley with the rare Kings Crown logo which was registered in 1886. In excellent condition, no chips, cracks or repairs, it measures 6" high With handle down x 5.5 diameter.
