Finely potted blue and white Chinese export Canton handleless sugar bowl with minute, barely discernible firing flaws. About 5-1/2" W x 5-5/8" H. No chips, frits, hairlines or repairs. Sugar bowls with braided handles were harder to make and morphed into the later handleless ones, c. 1880-1910. Described as "rare" by the Schiffers in CHINESE EXPORT PORCELAIN, c. 1975. A beautiful Chinese Imari Bowl. 19th century.

An interesting blue and white hand pained porcelain plate of two scholars(?) greeting each other and a boy carrying a load in front of water with a rising moon in the far distance. There is an elaborate border including scholar’s roles on the side of the well between the rim and the center and at the outside of the rim leaf and flower border. I suspect that there is a very good version of this scene that was the model for this quickly done one that has a kind of folk art charm...

A Qianlong Qing Dynasty Famille Rose vase circa 1750s-80s. This fine and vintage Chinese 7" bottle or bulb shaped vase is in the Famille Rose palette and it features lots of gold clobbering, invariably applied later in Europe. It has the expected frit on the base, and this nice example of Chinese porcelain is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, losses, damage or repairs...

A very nice Nanking Chinese export porcelain plate. The blue decoration is finely worked and the body color is excellent.

Early Chinese export Rose Medallion porcelain condiment dish. The details are very finely painted and vibrantly colored. China, ca. 1860's. Excellent condition; the gilding along the top edges is mostly worn away; no chips or cracks. 3-1/8" x 2-3/8" x 11/16".

A underglaze blue hand painted blue and white export plate depicting three sprigs of flowers enclosed in a lobed border with fleur- de-lis and on the outer border a loosely painted fence. The outer edge is painted brown. Given the vague Western references in the decoration the plate is probably after 1750. 8 7/8th inches (22.5 cm) diameter.

Condition: No chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. Very minor stacking wear...

A Chinese Export coffee cup, slightly ribbed and foliated, a rather unusual shape. Enameled decoration of flower garlands in European Rococo style. Early Qianlong period (c 1740), a give-away as for the age is a little flower in iron red and gold to each side. Height "2 ¼ / 6.2 cm. Condition: little black spots and two hairlines (cf. pics).

The Vũng Tàu shipwreck is a shipwreck that was found in the South China Sea off the islands of Côn Đảo about 100 miles from Vũng Tàu, Vietnam in 1692. The wreck was of alorcha boat—a Chinese vessel with Portuguese influences that has been dated to about 1690. It was found by a fisherman who had picked up numerous pieces of porcelain from the wreck while fishing. Sverker Hallstrom identified the wreck and its cargo in 1990...

Up for sale is a very rare large antique Chinese export round shape famille rose plate, hand painted and glazed, picture depicting an imperial family member wearing bright yellow robe together with other officials, total of 7 characters, and a little black and white dog in the lower right,18th century. A Chinese export plate from the first part of the 18th century, Yongzheng or early Qianlong. Decoration in Famille rose enamels of a large peony in bloom with an orange ribbon and some other scattered flowers, all surrounded by a thin diaper border in matte turquoise. The whole plate with a light greenish tint to the glaze. Brown-glazed rim. Diameter: / 22.8 cm. Condition: a few small spots of glaze wear to the well, otherwise fine.

An extraordinary Chinese Rose Medallion tureen with underplate, grand size and details. The tureen measures 15 1/4" wide to ends of handles, is 10" deep and 12" high. The underplate measures 14 3/4" x 11 1/4" and is 1 3/4" high. One of the largest sizes found in tureens of this era, and it is beautifully painted with fine detail, gold ground, and gold on handles and lid finial. Very heavy, weighs 13 pounds and 6 ounces. This is a superb, early, and rare Chinese libation cup. The paste itself appears to date from around 1735, while the decoration is most likely from around 1775.
