This is an extremely fine example of a Lowestoft tea canister, made in the 1775 - 1780 period. It is of rectangular form with sloped shoulders and a molded ridge following the outline of the sloping portion. The printed design features flowers and insects. A beautiful Spode porcelain plate painted with a variety of motifs. The pattern number is not listed in any of the Spode pattern books, nor have I been able to find examples of the decoration. A reasonable assumption might be that this was produced as a "one-off" sample for a larger service that was not completed.

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England by Spode around 1800. It has a specious Sevres marking over the glaze. The handle is found in Berthoud’s Compendium of Cups. The saucer has a diameter of 5 1/8 inches and it is 1 1/8 inches deep. The cup is 2 1/4 inches high with an opening of 3 1/8 inches in diameter. The pattern is quite colorful with panels of hand painted flowers and panels of geometric designs. The gilding is elaborate.

A lovely and rare Chaffers Liverpool porcelain miniature tea bowl, hand painted with three sprigs of flowers, the interior with a pair of leaves, the rim painted with a puce color. Wonderful pottery candlestick decorated in an underglaze blue floral transfer and clobbered with overglaze iron red, yellow, and purple pigments. The effect is much like chintz china, but with stronger coloring. The bottom is marked with the registration number indicating the piece was designed in 1913 and bears the mark used by Cauldon Potteries from 1905 to 1920. A fine and early Dr. Wall Worcester sauce boat, of cos lettuce leaf form. This uncommon and molded example has a looped stem handle, and is decorated inside and out with scattered flower sprigs and insects, finished with raised fruit near the handle juncture.
