Twelve(12) Haviland Limoges Gold Rim Soup Plate, Ca. 1920, 9 1/4" diameter, 1 1/2" high, encrusted Gold Rim, marked "Haviland France" in green and "Rich & Fisher 467 Fifth Ave New York" in red. One small chip under the gold rim, only shows from under, not from top.

These 8 porcelain chocolate cups and saucer were produced in France at Sevres around 1810. The saucers have a diameter of 4 7/8 “ and are 1 ½” deep. The cup are 2 7/8” high,without the handle, and have a diameter of 3 1/8”. Each cup has a hand painted portrait of a famous French woman, named on the bottom. These 10 porcelain berry dishes or bowls were produced in France by Haviland & Co. Limoges between 1876 and 1886. There is a double mark indicating this period. The dishes are 4 5/8 inches in diameter and 1 inch deep. The set is decorated in a Japanese inspired transfer print that is hand colored. There are delicate sprays of pastel colored flowers. This porcelain basket was produced in France by Pouyat Limoges around 1900. It was made especially for Wanamaker’s Department Store. The basket measures 9 1/4 inches long, 4 3/4 inches wide and 4 inches high including the handle. The rim of the basket is frilly and scalloped with high relief molding as does the handle. A rare Clews Jasperware cream jug circa 1815-34. This pre-Victorian English 3-3/4" high milk jug is signed by Clews. Ralph and James Clews (Cobridge, Staffordshire) was in business only from 1815-34; pieces of Jasperware in imitation of Wedgwood were tricky to manufacture and as a result examples by Clews are quite scarce. A lobed dinner plate 9 ½ inches (24 cm) diameter decorated with a sprig of cornflowers (?) in the center of the well surrounded with numerous single red or gilt flowers. The lip is decorated with richly gilt and enamel swags surrounding floral cartouches. The rubbed overglaze “VV” on the back is the mark for the Verneuilh factory. It dates from the 1780’s; possibly 1787 when Vanier entered a contract with the Verneuilhs.

A very well hand painted on porcelain dessert plate depicting blackberries with leaves and canes in the well of the plate. A thin band of black and gilt marks the edge of the lip which is decorated with a shaped band of grey, separated from a band of maroon band by thin lines of black and white separated by a slightly thicker band of textured gilding.
