These 10 porcelain berry dishes or bowls were produced in France by Haviland & Co. Limoges between 1876 and 1886. There is a double mark indicating this period. The dishes are 4 5/8 inches in diameter and 1 inch deep. The set is decorated in a Japanese inspired transfer print that is hand colored. There are delicate sprays of pastel colored flowers. These are accented by butterflies and Japanese gold and silver balls. The rims are trimmed with an apricot colored border...

Hand painted in dark underglaze blue with a serrated rim this large bowl is soft paste porcelain. The decoration of a Chinese arrangement of flowers and twining plants is typical of Tournai. Height 4.5 inches (11 cm) and 11 inches (28 cm) diameter. Late 18th century.

Condition: no chips, cracks or repairs. Some scratches to the interior of the bowl and small flaw in the body of the bowl.

This style of decoration was popular at the time and still looks excellent today.

Made by the Haviland & Co in Limoges, France, this five well oyster plate dates 1887. In excellent condition, it measures 7.75" diameter.

Circa 1860 superb French bronze jewelry casket with velvet lining on 4 lion paw feet. With excellent detailing throughout, the lid features a foliate head known as Greenman and is bordered with roses and acanthus leaves. It has a lock on the front but the key is no longer with it. Measures 9.75" long by 5" high and 5.25 inches front to back. Weight about 9 lbs.

Condition: firing crack and two little nicks to underside of rim of one dish (cf. pics).

The porcelain was purchased white ware to be painted by a studio artist. There is a signature on the back. The ground color has a slightly creamy hue. A fine matched pair of ceramic recumbent lions of molded construction having maize yellow ware enamel. The careful observer will note that the lions are not a mirror match, but they complement each other and were most likely produced this way. While the condition of the lions is less than pristine, having minor enamel losses and one minor chip as shown in the photos, we believe that serious collectors will appreciate the earliness and uniqueness of these ceramic lions...

This pair of earthenware vases was produced in France by Paul Milet in the 1890s. They measure 8 3/8 inches high and the diameter of the opening is 2 ½ inches. The decoration is the epitome of Art Nouveau design. Anemones bend and sway while turquoise dragonflies hover overhead. Clover-like turquoise colored leaves encircle the bases of the two vases. The decoration is in relief simulating cloisonné. The colors are dazzling. Condition: Excellent

A porcelain dinner plate decorated with a gilt rim, a gilt rope with flowers on the lip and floral sprays in the well. Marked in overglaze red enamel on the back “B/Potter/1” The mark is probably from around 1794 for the short lived partnership of Potter and Blancheron.
