This configuration, with 3 distinct twists, is so uncommon that L. M. Bickerton, in his classic book, did not even address the question of triple series opaque twists.

Offered is this beautiful French Pate de Verre glass figurine, made by Amalric/Almeric Walter, around 1920. The figurine was designed by Henri Berge. A lovely art glass cabinet vase with cameo decoration in the “Thistle” pattern by Daum. The glass has elegant mottled coloring with dark peach and amber. Two beautiful Bohemian glass decanters - both cut, one with further etched enhancements. The cut one is 10 1/2 inches (27 cm) tall, 4 3/4 inches (12 cm) wide and 2 3/4 inches (7 cm) deep. It has some bottom scratches and a small amount of usage-cloudiness. The applied-handled one is 10 1/2 inches tall, 5 1/2 inches (14 cm) wide and 2 3/4 inches deep. It has some scratches on the bottom and fleabites on the stopper's bottom. It has the number, '5' etched on its stopper-bottom.

A beautiful pair of antique wine glasses of the light baluster form. Although these are smaller than the usual form for a Newcastle light baluster, the proportion of the pointed round funnel bowls to the stems suggests that they are, in fact, an uncommon pair of NLB's. The bowls have engraved foliate borders, each stem with a shoulder knop, a medial angular knop, and a basal true baluster knop. Gently domed folded feet with rough snapped pontils.

A wonderful and very rare Baccarat cut crystal perfume bottle in a simple panel cut enhanced with blue opaline “gems”. The lip of the bottle is cut in a deep petal shape. The stopper matches the décor of the bottle. Though known as “opaline” now, this type of glass was called “agate glass” when it was created at Baccarat in 1842. A high quality milk glass goblet paneled with 9 facets and decorated with 3D grape and leaf design, most likely Westmoreland No. 1881. Stem is also faceted, standing on round foot. The "milk" alternates between translucence and opacity. This goblet is early 20th C. and in excellent condition.

This pair of wine glasses was produced in Bohemia by Moser in the 1880s. They are 5 ¾ inches high and the diameter of the opening is 2 inches. A very fine Nailsea-Stourbridge green bottle glass paperweight with a foiled flower pot design. A large central petunia-type flower arises on a slender stem from the well-formed pot, and is surrounded with two additional circlets of smaller flowers, four to each layer. This example is particularly nice with a good, clear gather of glass and a fine shape. The bottom has the rough pontil.

Wine rinsers or wine washers were used to cool or rinse wine glasses between courses of meals. At formal meals of this type, beer or ale would not be served. Therefore, the engraving of hops and barley on this rinser is very unusual and a bit inexplicable, as this type engraving was specifically used on ale glasses. The rinser is 3 1/2" tall and 4' in diameter.

A very good cut glass vase by Clark in the "Iris" pattern. The lower third and the flared rim are cut with elongated hobstars flanked by mitred triangles of strawberry diamond cutting enhanced with fans; and the neck is cut with panels of printies alternating with notched prisms. The base is cut with a 20-point hobstar and has Clark’s script acid signature. The pattern is either "Iris" or a variant of “American Beauty”. The cutting is very precise and the polish is excellent.

A beautiful, hand enameled cup-and-saucer set, made by either Moser or Monot & Stumpf (of France). The under-plate is 4 3/8 inches (11 cm) wide, while, the cup is 3 1/2 inches (9 cm) wide and 1 3/4 inches (4,5 cm) tall. They are both in fine condition. There is slight fluorescence when they are subjected to long-wavelength UV light - so, they were probably made around 1900.
