This pair of crystal candlesticks was produced in Europe or England in the late 19th century. The maker is unknown. They are approximately 10 inches tall and the base has a diameter of 5 inches. The crystal is hand blown so that the candlesticks are hollow. They are hand cut with geometric patterns. The edges are beveled and the contoured shape has cut panels. The color is deep amber. A stunning footed cut glass compote in Hawkes’ “Delft Diamond” pattern. While the pattern is not especially ornate, the deep emerald green color of the blank is amazing. The knopped stem has an elongated airtrap bubble that’s difficult to see because the color of the glass is so rich. The plain round foot is acid-stamped with Hawkes’ trefoil signature, which would suggest a relatively early date.

A fine mid-19th century pressed glass paperweight in the form of a recumbent lion resting on an opaque glass base. The lion is beautifully detailed and finished in a frosted surface. This lion is similar to one produced by Gillinder for the 1876 Centennial Exposition, but it is much more finely made. The underside of the black base is impressed “490”.

This unusual glass paperweight is filled with a devil’s fire motif worked in vibrant opaque shades of red, white and green. The glass of the design has a chalky texture similar to sulphides, but is randomly swirled and peaked in the typical devil’s fire style. A cranberry thumbprint pattern glass pickle cruet on a silver plated stand from the 1890 era. A lovely art glass cabinet vase with cameo decoration in the “Thistle” pattern by Daum. The glass has elegant mottled coloring with dark peach and amber. Offered is this rare, large Gustav Stickley slag-glass lamp, made around 1906. The lamp is 30 inches tall. The shade is 15 1/4 inches wide (diagonal width: 22 inches) while the base is 9 inches wide. Offered is this metal-mounted cut glass compote, made probably by Baccarat around 1910. The compote is 9 inches (23 cm) wide and 7 1/4 inches (18,5 cm) high. Overall, the compote is in good condition - some age-appropriate tarnishing to the metal (most probably bronze), as expected.
