21114688 A very nice 8 ½ inch tall Galle cameo banjo form vase. The red over colorless over opal vase has a motif of cherries and leaves. The vase is signed as seen faintly in photograph C. This crystal glass was produced in Europe in the late 19th century. It was probably made by a Bohemian firm. There is a signature but we were unable to identify the maker. The glass is 8 inches tall and the diameter of the bowl is 2 3/4 inches. It is made of hand blown crystal and the stem is hand cut. The gilded enamel decoration is extremely fine and detailed. It has winged griffins in the design. Condition: Excellent

Exceptional Moser cut to clear 6 sided cranberry red stem glass. Each panel has a raised hand cut medallion. 5 medallions feature finely hand cut and gold gilded bouquets of different flowers. The 6th is monogrammed. Probably used as a wine glass, this is truly an amazing work of art. Dates around 1910, and measures 5.25 inches high.

A fine sweetmeat with a double ogee bowl with a slightly everted rim. The bowl is atop a bladed knop, below which is a hollow 8 sided molded pedestal stem. At the bottom of the stem are 4 merises above a nicely domed and folded foot.

The glass is in overall excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or restoration. There is a small (1/4" by 1/8") manufacturing flaw in the side of the bowl, shown in extreme closeup in the 4th photo. The flaw can be seen and felt on both sides, but in not broken...

A beautiful and tall open flame oil lamp of Facon de Venice type, probably from Liege. Showing superb proportions and elegance, the large spouted font sits atop a capstan type knop, above a hollow, squat inverted baluster knop, which in turn leads into an elongated, hollow, rib-molded inverted baluster type stem that has 3 graduated applied ruffled collars or trailings, finally ending in a basal knop above a folded foot.

The lamp is 9 5/16" tall, with a foot diameter of 4 3/8"...

This pair of crystal compotes was made in England by Stevens & Williams around 1900. They measure 6 inches tall and the openings have a diameter of 5 3/4 inches. They are hand blown from clear crystal that varies from thicker areas to very thin. This type of crystal is often referred to as “rock crystal.” It imitated the mineral stone used by the Chinese. The bowls are expertly hand engraved and polished with ribbons and wreaths...

A stunning cut double-overlay white/cranberry/clear cologne bottle, mostly likely by the New England Glass Company. The broad base is slightly footed and decorated with opaque white casing cut in a classic foral vine pattern to a transparent rose-cranberry base. The panel-cut tapered neck is enhanced with a faceted applied ring. The open-top tulip-form stopper has a long knopped neck and white/cranberry panel cutting on the petals. An amber colored vase with an etched and gilt “Oroplastic” frieze of Amazon warriors, the base facet cut. The Oroplastic decoration method was introduced by the Moser glass company around 1915. This gem was the product of the Gundersen-Pairpoint Company in the mid 20th century, but ended up the collection of an avid glass addict. For serious collectors, we can offer limited but very interesting provenance for this and other goblets we are selling from a socially prominent philanthropist who settled in north Georgia and died in 1939. A lovely cobalt blue blown glass hyacinth or bulb vase in the classic cone shape. The flared rim was intended to hold a hyacinth or other bulb just above the water line to root. Forcing bulbs was a popular Victorian pursuit and hyacinth vases were lovely adornments for kitchen and conservatory windows. The quality of glass is very good and cobalt blue is a desirable color. The bottom has a sheared pontil.

A beautiful English baluster wine glass of Kit Cat, or Kit Kat, type with a trumpet bowl containing a small tear, above a double collar, which is, in turn, above a shoulder knop, a true baluster knop, and a basal knop. Interestingly enough, a true baluster knop is one of the least common knops to be found on baluster glasses, making this a rare piece. It has a folded conical foot with a rough snapped pontil.

Although the glass is soda, the lead-like ring to it, combined with its extremely high overall quality strongly indicates a Tyneside (N. England) origin.

A beautiful, green-cut-to-clear vase, made by either Moser or Thomas Webb. The vase is decorated with beautiful art nouveau decor. Except for some minute nicks toward the bottom (see second-last picture), the vase is in excellent condition. There is a catalog/exhibition number on the vase's bottom, which means that the vase used to be a museum display piece. The vase is 5 1/2 inches (14 cm) tall and 4 3/4 inches (12 cm) wide at the top. A superb and tall Newcastle light baluster (NLB) wine glass or goblet with marriage or anniversary significance. The flared bell bowl has a trapped tear in the deep bottom. The stem features a shoulder angular knop above a slim inverted baluster knop, then a plain stem section leading to a basal ball knop above a conical foot with rough, snapped pontil.
