A very well-cut low bowl in an unidentified pattern. The cutting is deep, sharp and precise. The pattern comprises three panels of star- and diamond-cut cane, divided by elongated loops enclosing flashed fans and strawberry diamond, alternating with hobstars. The blank is heavy and very clear.

Origin: America, ca. 1890. Condition: excellent, a 1/32" fleabite on the inside edge of one tooth. Size: 7-1/4" diameter; 2" high.

This is a rare applied butterfly (Marquetry) box, made by Bohemian master, Ludwig Moser, around 1885. Like typical Moser objects from that epoch, the box is unsigned. But such applied-glass-motif objects were made by Moser and Harrach in Bohemia and Thomas Webb in England (refer to Baldwin's book on Moser glass). Under black-light, the box fluoresces a gentle greenish color, so the glass blank is definitely of Bohemian origin. The box is 3 1/4 inches (8,3 cm) tall and 3 1/2 inches (9 cm) wide...

This crystal decanter was produced in the United States in the late 19th century. It is not marked, therefore we are unable to precisely identify the manufacturer. It is evident in the fine quality that it was produced by a respected company. The decanter is 8 1/2 inches high. The diameter of the base is 4 1/4 inches. An exceptional and rare cameo glass bride basket on quadruple silver plate stand. The rose colored cameo is striking and as fresh today as it was c. 1880 when it was first created. The glass was produced by Mt Washington while the silverplate was produced by Pairpoint and is so marked. The basket handle uses a branch and leaf motif with the latter being applied over the former. The basket well is reticulated, the base having swirls and leaves, all standing on 4 feet...

An exceptionally fine frosted goblet on an unusual conical base supporting a fluted bowl, all decorated with frosted devices including a gorgeous anthemion leaf pattern banded by egg and dart. The base has finely etched fern. This flint glass goblet is mid to late 19th C.

A fine 19th century 6-1/2" Stourbridge-style milk glass vase with amber glass applied leaves and feet plus red cherries. The milk glass has nice orange fire when held to the light, and the leaves, feet and cherries are well formed. Impressive Early American Pattern Glass water goblet with frosted foot and stem concluding in 3 lion's heads. The base of the goblet bowl is formed with six panels and the sides are clear, flaring slightly as the sides rise to the rim. Condition of the glasses is excellent with no chips or cracks.

Most likely made by Gillinder & Sons c. 1877, after introducing this type of glass at the Centennial Exposition in 1876.

Phenomenal Art Nouveau crystal shallow bowl, the bottom with intaglio engraving of a large pansy blossom. The flowers petals are beautifully handpainted in shades of burgundy and then gilt. The flower is surrounded by translucent foliage. The scalloped rim of the bowl is gilt to coordinate with the floral decoration. This piece, with its single large flower, is much more assertive than the more common small reverse-carved pieces such nappies and short compotes. We're not certain if the bowl...

A beautiful, hand-painted, seven-piece water glass set, made most probably by the Bohemian glass-maker, Carl Hosch, a contemporary of Moser. The set is decorated with typical art nouveau floral motif. The set is in very good condition (there is one nick on one glass and a couple of pin-pricks on another). Polished pontil. The jug is 12 inches (30,5 cm) tall with a base width of 5 1/2 inches (14 cm). Each glass is 8 inches (20,3 cm) tall and has a top-diameter of 2 1/4 inches (5,7 cm).

A pair of unmarked Wave Crest “Daisy” salt shakers. The flat rims of the shakers are decorted with a dainty floral pattern and the undersides of the bases are embossed “Patented June 2 1891." The shakers are perfect and are 2 ½ inches in diameter.

This glass covered jar was produced in Europe. It has the style of the 1870s period but we are not certain of the manufacturer. The jar is 5 3/4 inches in diameter and 3 1/4 inches high. The glass is hand blown with a swirl of opalescent color entwined with powder blue. You can feel the ribs in the glass with your fingers.
