This unusual glass paperweight is filled with a devil’s fire motif worked in vibrant opaque shades of red, white and green. 21124692 A very pretty Mount Washington satin finish Burmese jar decorated with daisies. The jar is 3 inches tall and 5 inches in diameter. There is no lid, but otherwise in excellent condition. A beautiful, iridescent, Favrile glass bowl and underplate, made by Tiffany Studios around 1910. Both pieces are signed and are in fine condition. The plate is 6 3/4 inches wide while the bowl is 4 inches wide at the top.

Offered are these two beautiful, hand-painted Victorian glass ewers. The amber-colored thumbprint jug is 8 3/4 inches tall and 6 3/4 inches wide. The Mary Gregory one is 8 inches tall and 7 inches wide. Both ewers were blown (has pontil-bottoms - see last two pictures) and are without chips, cracks or repairs. Both jugs fluoresce a gentle green when exposed to long-wavelength black-light, showing that they are made of late 19th century soda-lime glass blanks.

Nice early South Jersey glass paperweight with a frit setup depicting a cabin surrounded by the motto "Home Sweet Home". The cabin has trees in the yard, smoke curling from the chimney, and a well in the foreground. The design is worked entirely in white frit. The base has a broken pontil and an incised ring around the base, as is typical of S. Jersey paperweights.

A fine mid-19th century pressed glass paperweight in the form of a recumbent lion resting on an opaque glass base. The lion is beautifully detailed and finished in a frosted surface. This lion is similar to one produced by Gillinder for the 1876 Centennial Exposition, but it is much more finely made. The underside of the black base is impressed “490”.

This high standard compote is of extra generous size to show off its many virtues. The bowl is McKee and Brothers (1853-99) Shell pattern also known as Fans with Diamonds. It would date to c. 1880.

The ring of the lid and its weight indicate lead or flint. It is decorated with beautifully designed stippled fruits such as pears, cherries, apples, and berries with detailed leaves.

A lovely pair of hyacinth vases in teal blue glass. The classic shape is slightly conical with a widely flaring rim for resting the bulb over the water. These vases are especially attractive because of their rich color. Forcing hyacinths and other bulbs to bloom indoors was something of a Victorian passion that continued well into the 20th century.

Patented January 1890. What is unusual about this lamp is that it is a finger lamp, too. That is a safety feature.

Impressive Early American Pattern Glass water goblet with frosted foot and stem concluding in 3 lion's heads. The base of the goblet bowl is formed with six panels and the sides are clear, flaring slightly as the sides rise to the rim. Condition of the glasses is excellent with no chips or cracks.

Outstanding early South Jersey glass paperweight enclosing a frit design of an eagle with an American flag and the words "The American Fire Philadelphia A.D. 1810." A Mt. Washington scalloped rim bowl decorated with orchids. The 3 3/4 inch diameter, 2 3/4 inch tall satin finish bowl has subtle diagonal ribs and a polished pontil mark. The color shades from pale lavender on the flared rim to colorless at the bottom. The coloration appears similar to the bowl shown in plate 10-17 on page 243 in Wilson’s “Mt Washington & Pairpoint Glass” and the decoration matches that on the sugar shaker in plate 10-18 of the same book.

A fine cut crystal decanter with faceted stopper, early 20th century American Brilliant Period. The slightly rounded shape is comprised of finely cut squares with patterned centers, hand blown faceted stopper. Size: 8" H x 3.75" W. A very nice peacock or electric blue glass inkwell, the body cut in large facets. The hinged lid is topped with a figural cherub cast in glass of a matching color. The figure is completed with a matte acid finish that contrasts beautifully with the main part of the inkwell’s body. We’ve only seen this particular lid once and the figure was molded in colorless glass.

A very well-cut low bowl in an unidentified pattern. The cutting is deep, sharp and precise. The pattern comprises three panels of star- and diamond-cut cane, divided by elongated loops enclosing flashed fans and strawberry diamond, alternating with hobstars. The blank is heavy and very clear.
