Constructed of hand hammered brass, and fastened together with metal pegs, this vase is hexagon in shape, with wide lip and base. It measures 8" high, 5 7/8" across at widest point, and the base is 4 1/8" across. Signed on the base with a conjoined W W mark, with another line that could be an F. With it's highly unusual size of 52 cm. and the fine execution, this dish comes from a very rich family estate. The dish shows a high-born renaissance lady in the center with well executed incised concentrhic decoration at the fan. Lovely deep black patina on the backside.

Erotic motifs on both sides and as something rare, it's inscribed in the copper with 'Een vurig hart is een kroon der wereld' which means something like 'A fervent heart is a crown of the world'.

It dates from the latter part of the 19th century and is in excellent condition, except for a repair one of the legs (only visible from the bottom, see picture).

Antique Polish Jewish brass Sabbath candelabra with five lights, 19th-century Poland. The candelabra is made of several cast and turned elements that have been hand-finished and screwed together. The upper part of the candelabra is made with openwork and adorned with two facing lions of Judah and birds within a scrolled framework.

It is mounted on a baluster stem that is embellished with rings and rests on a round base.
