European silver and enamel compact, ca 1920. Rectangular and hinged. On cover sits a pretty kitty with pink nose, dangling forepaws, and soft thick fur. A portrait of feline docility but beware the intense stare emanating from green dilated eyes. This one looks ready to launch. A renaissance bronze figure, Italian, Venice, and in a superb style with the stylistic hallmark of the Roccatagliata workshop, c. 16th.- early 17th. century.

The figure is made of bell metal and depicts a Cupid with spread wings holding a scroll with the portrait bust of Christ. He is standing on a stepped podium and mounted to a heavy black base.

An important pair of exceptional gilt brass shield wall sconces, Noble house in the German States or representing the Holy Roman Empire, c. 1650-1680.

Artfully decorated shield type of scounces with German Heraldic Eagles on either side of a wreath. Inside the wreath a knealing page is presenting the crown. With floral decoration other the remaining surface. The two candle holders with drippand also decorated repousee.

The tankard stands in a beautiful baroque style with a multitude of floral engravings in the microcarving style, Probably Northern Germany, Initialized and dated 1720 in the lid by new owners. German touchmarks in the top of the handle.
