This is one of three Edwardian sterling souvenir spoons, each with London hallmarks and makers’ mark for Wakley and Wheeler; two are date stamped 1913, the third, 1915; each richly cast with rope-twist and foliate handles with heraldic shield terminals engraved "B&H" and "I.R.C." Condition: very good, bowls have some surface scratches, hallmarks crisp and clear. Measurement: 4 _ in long.

A late 19th or early 20th century sterling silver sauce ladle with a round bowl, marked on the back of the handle, “STERLING, J.E. CALDWELL & (the rest of the punch missing) PATENT.” The front of the handle decorated with a long tailed bird (Jay?) in foliage. On the back is more foliage, the marks, and the engraved initial “F.” Approx. 7 inches long. Approx. 60 grams. Condition: Some wear. Decoration still crisp. J.E. Caldwell were a major Philadelphia maker and retailer.

A fine hammered copper tray with handles from the workshops of Gustav Stickley in New York. Measures about 16 3/8", 19" across handles and weighs over three pounds. Tray was polished long ago and patina has aged, shows some wear and stains. Joiner's compass mark.

A very pretty early 20th century French silver tastevin in the style typical of Dijon in the Burgundy region of France. This style retains the usual convex base surrounded by a wreath of “perles”, but the gadrooning (“godrons”) along the side have been replaced with a decoration of very finely worked grape leaves and clusters of fruit. Beautiful European car dish made using the "aqua-fortis" technique which is a type of etching. In this technique, plates of copper, steel, zinc, etc. are covered with a varnish and then blackened with black-smoke. A hand tool is used to remove the varnish, exposing the raw metal. Sterling silver cream or sauce ladle with an Art Nouveau design of lilies. This form was used to ladle cream or other sauces for the desert course. They could also be used for main course sauces that did not require a full-sized gravy ladle. The reverse is marked "Sterling Pat. 1902". Before 1916, many American silversmiths did not mark their name on flatware. Unknown maker.
