A magnificently hand chased and engraved sterling silver coin purse in a most unusual shape. Dates circa 1875. When opened are 2 slots for coins and a compartment for folded bills or notes on the left. On the right is an oval frame that may have held a photo or mirror. The purse closes perfectly and it has a mesh wrist strap attached. The case measures about 4" long x 2" wide. The total measurement including the strap and tassel is about 11" long...
Lovely sterling silver ladle with a masque of Bacchus or some other satyr on the end of the handle. Decorative beading outlines the handle and the bowl. The reverse is marked "925 Sterling 1000". Although by an unknown American maker, this piece probably dates to the late 19th century when Gorham, Tiffany and other quality silversmiths were using lots of mythological motifs. No monogram and in excellent condition. 5" long.
Elegant and fine work by Robert Hennell of London, hallmarks of 1791 with Georgian head, the silver with reticulated cut outs and fine line engraving, armorial figure of animal, original cobalt blue glass liner.

A wonderful sterling silver footed basket by Gorham. The edges are decorated in an ornate Victorian floral motif that is echoed on the handle. The scrolled feet are accented with a shell motif. A camel on an ornate oval base nicely sculptured with fine detail. The camel is a domestic animal in places like Egypt and Saudi Arabia, but wild in many areas. This napkin ring was probably made by Rogers, Smith and Co., number 269. NOTE: THIS CAMEL HAS THE END OF ITS TAIL, often missing, STILL IN TACT.

A beautiful enameled silver patch or pill box by Nicholai Alexeyev. The hinged box is fully covered with enamels worked in shades of opaque white, aqua, periwinkle and royal blue, accented with translucent red and green. An elegant late Victorian jewelry box in the Louis XVI style. The sides and lid are decorated with delicate raised birds and floral sprays against a stippled background. Engraved volutes at the corners accent the main decoration. The edges are decorated in a typical French bound reed design. The whole is raised on turned feet. The brass plating is beautifully patinated to a lustrous sheen.

This fanciful Art Nouveau style brass desk box was originally made to hold stamps but would be a great place to store a special ring, cufflinks or a secret. Rectangular shaped, standing on four feet, the hinged cover has a centered sunflower surrounded by leaves and vines, two compartments inside, unmarked. Measures 3 in. x 1 5/8 in. x 1 1/4 in. high.
Condition is near perfect.

Dense overlay in form of overlapping and entwined flowers, leaves, and scrollwork. Scrolled cartouche engraved with two-letter script monogram (SS). Glass is green. Measuring 15.5" long x 8.25" high x 1.75" deep, this circa 1890s, wonderful and quite fancy, hand-cut iron utensil or clothing rack sports 5 hooks for hanging. It features an unusual stylized heart or perhaps even a stylized floral design which adds to its visual appeal.
Condition is very good with excellent, warm patina. Faint pitting and minimal traces of rust. A hanging-hole on each end is present for easy mounting.
