A fine mid-19th century French silver tastevin (wine taster), the base inset with an 1810 Italian silver coin from the reign of Emperor Napoleon I as King of Italy. The bottom edge of the bowl is decorated with curved, scalloped "godrons" which were intended to reflect light through white wine to judge clarity. This tastevin does not have the "cupules" ("ovoides") specifically intended to deepen the color of red wines. The sides are decorated with grapevines and clusters of fruit...

Elegant crystal trivet with a sterling silver overlay in an orchid pattern. The piercing of the silver is highlighted with engraved details. The center has a silver reserve that was never monogrammed. The side is hallmarked by Webster Silver Co.

A sterling silver cherubs brush mirror & comb set 1890 to 1900. This wonderfully ornate Victorian period set consists of the 10" x 3-7/8" mirror, the 9-3/8" x 2-1/2" brush with natural bristles, and the 7-5/8" long comb. Each is hallmarked for Birmingham, England and they have the Thomas Hayes maker's mark; the brush year hallmark is 1890, the comb year hallmark is 1898 and the mirror year hallmark is 1900...

A simple and vintage English Edwardian sterling silver 2-7/8" salt spoon fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1903-4. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, pattern no. 16368A (first produced in 1905), order no. 4117, and director’s letter C (1902-7)...

A lovely Late Gothic style, German christian bronze or bell-metal censor, with fine gilt and hanging in Iron-cut cruciform chains, also adorned with firegilt globular hangers, Northern Germany, c. mid 17th. century.

An incense burner that would have been hanging in a church. The Vessel is decorated with three female busts in the Gothic style from which each of the three long chains are suspended. A the top a circular plate with a cutout brass finial.

An English silver plate set of six pastry forks and server in the box from the 1910 era. This lovely set consists of six 5-1/8" pastry forks, the 5-3/4" two-tine pastry server and the fitted velvet and silk lined fitted box. The box is wrapped with a mottled brown leather-style cover and it has a pushbutton release.
