Elegant Edwardian cranberry glass vase with pierced sterling silver mounts by Galt & Bro. The piercings are fan-shaped and the rim has a bound reed motif. The cranberry glass insert flares slightly toward the upper rim and is accented with simple cutting. The base is marked "Galt & Bro." (Washington, DC, 1892-1934).

Finely crafted Pair of German .800 silver gilt figural compotes, early 20th century period, each fitted with a later Paragon porcelain bowl, hallmarked. Size; Height of each compote is 6.5 inches with diameter of 9 inches. Condition Report; No imperfections noted.

Well crafted Persian silver bowl featuring floral design at the center and followed by a circular band of very fine and slightly raised calligraphy and finally a band of geometric design, bearing artist's initial and 90 fine silver mark to the base, from late 19th/early 20th century period. German 800 silver cow creamer, ca 1910. Stocky body, flexed ears, flicked-back tail handle, and hinged and stippled back flap with engraved wreath and applied fly finial. A gentle face with red-glass eyes and gaping-mouth spout. A capacious dispenser on four firmly planted hoofs. German marks and American importer’s mark for Buchholz & Zelt in New York. Edwardian sterling silver baby bowl on plate. Made by Gorham in Providence in 1911. Bowl has curved and tapering sides. Plate has well and wide shoulder. Both have whiplash-scrolled rim and applied figures—an eclectic frieze that includes dog-petting hobos, stickball playing boys, tool-bearing workmen, and pipe-smoking grannies. This is a solid silver plate with an engraved Islamic design from Egypt. The plate has a sloping scalloped rim and features an eight-point star called "Khatim Sulayman" in the center, formed by two overlapping squares.

The star's center is engraved with Arabic writing and surrounded by a band of eight cartouches with calligraphic Arabic characters...

Wonderful figural sterling silver child's spoon especially for Easter. The handle is decorated with two chicks recently hatched from their eggs above the word "Easter" and an Easter lily. Interestingly, the teardrop shape of the bowl is that used in Victorian times for egg spoons. The back is marked by Durgin and also by D. Low of Salem, MA (maker of the famous Salem Witch spoon). Circa 1890. 4.5" long. Excellent condition, including intact gilding on the interiors of the cracked eggs.

A 800 solid hand engraved Italian lidded canister or box circa 1930-35. This lovely silver item is gilded on the interior and it has a lobed design with ornate floral engraving. It could possibly have been for cigarettes, although similar items were also prodiced to hold sugar or tea. It is stamped 800 MILANO and A RONCHI on the bottom...

Corner frames inset and entwined with wreaths, leaves, and rondels inset with flower heads. Ornament in low relief on stippled ground. On top rail is engraved single letter monogram (M) between leafing scrolls...

Imagine this little guy hopping across your table providing everyone with salt or pepper! He is intricately detailed all the way down to his feet. His head unscrews to refill salt or pepper. He stands up well and does not wobble. He is marked "800" on his tail and was probably made sometime around 1910. He measures approximately 3" long and 2.5" tall and is in excellent condition.

Five watchful dogs – setters, dachshunds and a collie – cast in brass on an Art Nouveau pen tray. Around 1910, unmarked, probably English. Length "7 1/3 / 18.7 cm. Condition: natural wear, consistent with use, the underside still with original gilding.

Wonderful pair of Hubley cast iron paperweights in the form of African-American children. The little girl wears a yellow jumper over a white blouse and the little boy wears yellow pants and a white shirt. This is the only pair of black memorabilia iron paperweights we’ve seen.

Wonderful antique Russian cigarette box, fully hallmarked with AK 84 mark, depicting foliage design and gilded cupid with bow and arrows on the lid, equipped with push bottom, still retains the elastic fabric cigarette retainers. Measurements: 4 1/4" x 3" and in very good condition.

German 800 silver cigarette case, ca 1910. Rectangular and hinged with curved corners. On cover are enameled sin symbols: Women (opera girl), wine (champagne), and gambling (cards and ponies). Description: Striking and well crafted Persian hand made silver dish, Decorated in high relief with scenes depicting Archaemennid king Darius fighting mythological beast and also Archaemennid's religious and monarchy's symbolic figures on center surrounded by engraved foliage. The handle is also decorated with leaves and rosebud. workmanship is well. Dimensions: 6"H x 7"W x 4.5"D. This item belongs to late 19th to early 20th century from city of Shiraz in good condition.
