Offered is an extremely rare collection of eight, very colorful, 19th century artist paint pigments in diminutive, corked, glass vials from makers S.J. Pardessus, New York, Chas. Moller, New York, and Bender & Phillips.

Each of these very scarcely found vials sport their original paper label noting color of pigment and the manufacturer. The vials have either contents or traces of contents remaining that lend color and interest to the grouping...

Oval cut and polished agate bowl with an engraved brass mount. The setting is decorated with cranes and plum blossoms, of Japanese inspiration.

A Chinese magnifying glass with its handle of light green jade and silver ( stamped Silver) and its circular surrounds embellished with colored hardstones and embossed silver decoration. A Chinese mirror, mounted on the back with a panel of green jade carved with shou characters and the handle with a similar green jade. This small mirror is encased in a gilt and enameled silver frame. Stamped " silver". Circa 1880, marbleized slate game board with ornate gold gilding. Painted on slate with line carving, it is securely mounted in a walnut frame. In very good antique condition with some painting loss commensurate with age. Measures 28.25ʺ wide × 1.5ʺ deep × 20ʺ high.

Cartouche-shaped black marble plaque inset with oval micromosaic panels depicting Roman archaeological scenes (clockwise from upper left): the Coliseum, the Temple of Hercules, the Roman Forum and the Pantheon. Those four panels surround the Doves of Pliny, an image often used in micromosaics, which comes from a Roman floor mosaic at Hadrian’s villa in Tivoli and is believed to be a copy of a lost ancient Greek mosaic at Pergamon described by Pliny the elder...

A finely crafted bust of woman with delicate, feminine features, executed in white Italian marble, resting upon plinth. A rare dedicated souvenir "Turban Shell" (Latin: Turbo Marmoratus) hand engraved, onboard ship, "with a penknife" by C H Wood.
