This is an antique, museum-quality, Spanish Colonial polychrome wood crucifix from the 17th to early 18th century. The cross is designed in a typical 17th-century style. The figure of Christ is well-carved and polychrome with gild highlights. He wears a windswept perizonium tied at the waist and a thorn-crowned head adorned by a sunray aureole behind it. A very nice early German School carved and painted figure of Madonna, Germany, ca. 1500 AD.

She is standing crossing her arms in long garments and a robe with hood. Finely painted in colours.

Size: 24,5 cm. tall.

Condition: Choice for type! Basically intact with limited wormbites and some flaking of the paint, still nice and sound.

Authentic antique 19th-century Russian Orthodox brass traveling icon "The Mother of Good Joy of All Who Sorrows." The central figure is the Virgin Mary holding a warder in her right hand, with groups of people on either side. At the top is an image of Jesus Christ as the King of Kings.
