This piece is a fantastic specimen of Southeast Asian art from the 12-13th century Khmer culture. It was cleaned several years ago by the previous owner but does retain some of its original patina. Our best and earliest bronze travellers icon. A very early and attractive bronze travellers icon, made way before the Ban on bronze travellers icon making by Peter the Great in 1722. This icon dates to the 16th. century with the fine renaissance style. Note the fine loop, decorated with the head of Christ.

Size: 71 x 50 mm.

Condition: Good Very fine. Lovely thick dark brown patina, finely preserved details and rare this nice and uncleaned.
