Very rare and large French Silver plated Baroque Tripod Candelabrum. Relief cast with detailed shell designs, scrolling and 3 attached gilt holy figures. Elaborate as the Baroque style is and a rare specimen ! Condition good, silver plate somewhat worn off due to age and use, good weight. This is a very large floor candlestick creating a special atmosphere! Size: H. 28" x W. 8 3/4" at base (71 cm. x 22 cm.)

A very nice early German School carved and painted figure of Madonna, Germany, ca. 1500 AD.

She is standing crossing her arms in long garments and a robe with hood. Finely painted in colours.

Size: 24,5 cm. tall.

Condition: Choice for type! Basically intact with limited wormbites and some flaking of the paint, still nice and sound.

Rare and important head of a bearded centurion wearing his helmet, his face showing a strong and fierce expression. Polychrome wood. Eyes made of glass painted inside. Of Spanish origin, dating back to the 18th century, this head was found in the Philipines in 1978. Height: 30.3 cm. Old accidents and restorations mostly around the helmet (see photos), otherwise very good condition. NOTE: This head belonged originally to a large statue which was displayed beside a large crucifix.

A superb 19th century Imperial Russian wooden Easter egg with polychrome decoration of Christ arising from the tomb flanked by a pair of angels. The scene is beautifully colored and shows dynamic movement. The reverse of the egg bears the gilt letters “XB” for “Christ is Risen.” The egg is completed with its original blue silk ribbon, appropriately worn with age...

The Madonna della seggiola or Madonna della sedia is a Madonna painting by the Italian renaissance artist Raphael, dating to c. 1513-1514 and housed in the Palazzo Pitti collection in Florence. It depicts Mary embracing the child Christ, while the young John the Baptist devoutly watches. The bronzed pewter plaque is earlier then other available those have a simple border as well an a title cast on the back. We date this example to late 18th c Italy...

Russian wooden egg, lacquered in black and painted. One side with an orthodox cross and the other probably depicting St Basil’s cathedral in the Kremlin in the late 19th century. It might also show the then newly erected cathedral of the Assumption in Omsk. Height "4 / 10.5 cm. Condition: the painted decoration is flaking, as is the black lacquer (cf. pics).

Very well crafted French crucifix, of ebonized wood mounted with a nickeled cast Corpus Christi with carved terminating cross ends, overall height 16.75 inches (42.5 cm). From 19th century period, overall in good condition.

A late renaissance Flemish (Dutch) bronze lavabo

The bellied receptacle with zoomorphic heads to the spouts and female heads with long hair to the lugs supporting the swing handle. Lovely gothic style bronze vessel with quite much gilt present.

Condition: Extremely fine for this early piece. The heads are sharp and there's lots of preserved gilt which is rarely seen for this often very polished vessel type...

Antique East Asian Bronze Standing Buddha measuring an impressive 7.0" W x 28.0" H x 9.0" D . This superb sculpture depicts the Buddha meditating with his hands in the Abhaya mudra of dispelling fear. Abhaya is translated from Sanskrit as fearlessness. It is made with the open palm of the right hand extending outwards at the chest level or slightly higher...

A lovely large brass alloy / bronze vessel, dating to the late 17th. cent. probably 1680-1710, workshop Nürenberg and maker was Johann Windhösel - Leuchtmacher and cappucine munk in the city in that period.

Very decorative and fine quality baroque art. The vessel with loops in the form of human figures for suspending the chains. The vessel is c. 98 cm. when hanging.

Condition: Choice and intact with a nice patina and smooth wear from use and polishing.
